Appreciate the shoutout man and thank you for tackling this extremely important topic, these scams are EVERYWHERE

AI scams are a reincarnation of the ringtone industry

An officially licensed godzilla humidifier actually exists, its in a super deformed style. So Mistzilla in particular was probably trying to siphon search results from the real thing. (the company who makes it is called "Shine")

I feel so bad for the people who don't know any better and fall for these scams

There's lots of AI pages posting "behind the scenes" reels on how Toho made their films.

Everyday I see an AI generated Godzilla Lego set I loose a year off my lifespan.

AI is ruining the Godzilla fandom. There's even channels here on YouTube with thousands of subs that use AI.

The other day my mom sent me an image of a custom "sculpted" Godzilla mug that was being sold on Facebook. I had to explain that the image was AI generated and that it was a scam. It sucks that the internet is filled with this garbage...

love how these people can't even rename a file.

There are literally AI ad scams of all sorts of stuff. You are just seeing the Godzilla stuff because of your algorithm. They doing this with everything from garden hose sprayers to wall projectors. Its just getting worse.

Trying to get atomic breathed by a lawsuit in 5 minutes:😭

thankfully as of right now the scam is easy to tell, the ai used to make the video did a pretty bad job

4:30 yall see that too right? [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS] 😅

You’re doing good by making this. Calling out the scammers in the fandom and how it’s getting people needs to be addressed.

@simeon2064 1 month ago

It should be noted that you don't actually get anything but your payment info stolen when you attempt to buy these.

@Vannyhpp 1 month ago

people were so focused on stopping each other from larping we forgot to stop scammers from doing it

Yeah, really sucks to see this sorta thing happen. I already hated AI images, sound and video and I did not need another reason to do so.
(Also the hard cut to "I'm a f*cking idiot" at 9:47 deadass had me laughing for a solid minute)

It absolutely disgusts me that people fall for these hideous scams made by AI bros who absolutely don’t value Godzilla even in the merchandise department.

(Sidenote, the inclusion of Alex Hirsch saying “NO REFUNDS” with his Grunkle Stan puppet is a nice touch.)
