Kaalia the Vast, AKA the Flying Tribal Commander. Stick Reconnaissance in the deck and you can even yoink her out of combat after she calls in help. Stick Moat in her 99 and suddenly everyone that doesn't have wings or levitation can't fight back.

Rodolf Duskbringer is my beautiful dude in the command zone. Pack it full of those metal black angels from Kaldheim, and appreciate that he got a reprint cutting his price hard. That's one for the hyenas, brother.

Liesa shroud of dusk is also an absolute menace of an angel commander. At lot of cards that create angel tokens trigger of lifegain like resplendent angel, angelic accord, book of exalted deeds and valkyrie harbinger. With liesa you can consistently create those tokens. She also has a lot of synergy with lifegain pay-offs in general and since you're in black you can throw in a lot of card advantage that cost you life like necropotence, BMC and greed.

I think i need a sound bar...

Angels are really cool! I don't have an angel tribal deck currently, but they definitely make their way into a lot of decks. My mono white deck really uses them

this was fun to watch

yessir some more better commander

I’ve tried multiple angels as commanders. Sigarda font of blessings pissed off my playgroup so I ultimately landed on have Helga, skittish seer as my angel tribal commander.

I think Lyra is underrated, but with the more recent addition of many good and playable lower CMC angels she's a house. Whenever my friend plays his Giada deck, Lyra is the number one threat I'm holding up removal for, one they start gaining 50 life per swing it's basically over and I'll often concede if I can't find the removal.

A decent commander (especially if you want all 5 colours) is Esika, God of the Tree. Mainly, you want to use the Prismatic Bridge to play a free angel during your upkeep. Morophon is also alright, but Esika fits thematically better since she is a God.

i wish there was more cohesion for angels, i think just running them in an azorius flying deck or something is the best way to go

Angels are my favourite! I have two angel decks. My mono white angels list is my favourite and most blinged out deck. And then I have boros angels with all of the cool angels that didn’t make it into the main deck. Giada is insanely insanely good - just being a 2/2 flying vigilance lets her ramp the fuck out with Sword of the Animist effects.

Rykard approve this build so we can devour the very gods ToGhEtAaAa, as family. lol

Have you considered Helga Skittish Seer for an angels commander?
She gives access to everything in bant colors, is a mana dork that taps for more the bigger she gets, gets bigger every time you cast a creature 4 cmc or greater, AND draws you a card and gains you life every time you do so.^^
Most angels ARE 4 cmc or greater.

Could also consider Havi, the All-Father as a good portion of angels ARE legendary.

Actually went with betor ancestors voice for my Angel commander. Liking it so far.

Shilgengar sacs 6 bloods. AND is a 6/6. Mark of the be(a)st brother -- that's better angels brother.

Here me out, Betor, Ancestor's Voice. Abzan angels with utilizing life gain to increase power on board and controlled life loss for reanimation.

Angels are fine shtz im tynna to bless em with a child

I was binging stranger things last month.  I just binged daredevil and now onto punisher.  Pretty good, not gonna lie , brother.  But thar stranger things , season one and two were amazing !

Would you consider uploading games showing off some of your recommended builds?
