I just finished reading Templar Origins by Chris Selbo, and this book seriously caught me off guard. I went in expecting a Templar thriller, but the story pulls together the Templars, the Vatican, the Ark of the Covenant, current events, and the Iran oil crisis in a way that kept me turning the pages. The action scenes are intense, but what really hooked me was the mystery behind what happened to the Templars after 1307.
