Phew. Glad to have this one finally finished. I'm finally off to Ireland next week for a much anticipated journey into the islands incredible history as well as insights into my own family history. Of course many videos will follow! Video wise there are so many ridiculously epic projects in the works. This one on Akkad is a mere taste of what is to come in terms of the Bronze Age world! Don't forget to subscribe if you enjoy the content and leave a comment telling me what you'd like to see covered next. It all helps the algorithm gods to help the channel. Thanks all! See you on the next one. Right.. Back to work..

Anybody else on a permanent history bender?

Putting up the name cards whenever you mention or remention people (or say ‘he’) is an underrated genius move. It’s so easy to keep track thanks to it. Wish other documentaries would do that!

"King of Akkad, Sumer & the Universe"
Truly a travesty that his intergalactic empire fell.

They bury this kind of knowledge for a reason. The Obscured Principles book by Dorian Caine doesn’t just talk about truth—it bleeds with it. I couldn’t sleep the night I finished it. Not because I was scared… but because I finally understood why we’re kept distracted.

Normally a channel that doesn’t publish for a few months would be dead and forgotten.

Not this one. Outstanding work as always.

My grandfather used to make me watch these kinds of things as a kid. Hated it and found it boring. Look at me now at 36.

I was going to be semi-productive and maybe go to bed early, but then this was here.

I really appreciate these documentaries. I never had the money for college, so I feel like I’m actually still learning something when I watch them.

Great documentary on a distant, fascinating period. Land, wealth and power, the more time passes, the more things stay the same.

This was amazing , sumer has always been a topic of study for me and has held my interest for years. Because of the people of sumer and the Akkadians , I have a deeper understanding of biblical text . From the legend of Gilgamesh to Ishtar a people rich in an ancient history predating eqypt. Brilliant work on this my friend , thx again .

I got goosebumps watching this, always fascinated by Mesopotamian and Indus Valley civilisations as we still know very little about them!

He and his brother are making YouTube not only a place to learn things from, but more beautiful than I ever imagined history to be. While listening to this now, old memories of names and dates appear in my mind and I realize I did hear all this before in history class. I wish I had had a teacher like History Time or Voices from the Past instead of the boring passionless lessons I received in middle school in Vienna. Who knows? Very possible I might have wanted to study history then? But as things were, history was the class I feared and avoided.
I don’t know if he also creates the background music? It’s so perfect and sometimes one of the reasons I want to learn more about history, lol. Thank you for creating this!

I was deployed to a base right next to thre ziggurat of Ur. I was lucky enough to be able to go on a rare tour of the area. There is a very unique feel to the place, you can look down these shoots that lead somewhere nobody has seen, it's amazing.
