I hope the locals and stake holders of Raja Ampat see this!!!

Totally agree with you. I was in Raja Ampat 2 years ago. Stayed in Gam for first 1 week and it was great. Then moved to Kri for a week and it was really bad. Worst of commercial unplanned tourism.  Even the locals in Kri had lost their slow pace that i saw in the other islands.

❤

Entièrement d'accord!

just won a subcriber, cant wait to see your next upcoming series!

I hope raja Ampat is protected and that every tourist who is there leaves little garbage. When you are there, you are so close to nature. And every tourist wants to be able to enjoy it for many years to come. Some of my friends thought the simple huts were terrible, but I loved it. Only the simple house, the simple food. But for that the sea, the colourful fish and the peace ❤️ I hope it stays that way

1 million is a lot. Thanks for letting me know

Thank you, I am going in November

I was 4 month ago [  diving safari ]

very sad; thanks for your honesty

I planned on visiting, though it is the crocodiles that put me off. I'd be going alone & it says not to snorkel alone due to safety concerns with crocs...don't think i'd be able to enjoy.

I wonder if anyone has noticed that it is very normal for people to say they visited a beautiful place 20 years ago and now its not as nice....you could say that about everywhere ...and people do!

Belitung island is good for relaxing, it's cheap and not overprice, you should try go there

Leider kann ich das nur bestätigen, das Gebiet ist hoffnungslos überlaufen.
Habe mein Taucherurlaub im Oktober 2025 dort gemacht.

Visitors can visit philippines or borneo semporna. Still within the coral triangle.

Would recommend going. Seems expensive for basic homestay with rats and shity food.  Really wants to go but seems over prices for basic stuff

Touching , or walking on coral, is it's death

So, where are the cheaper alternatives that are good, quiet and uncommercialised? Please advise

I‘ve been to RA last year and I share your opinion a 100%. To everyone who wants to go there and is NOT a passionate diver I can‘t really recommend it. If you only want paradise beaches and dreamy waters there are way cheaper destinations. RA will suffer the same destiny as many destinations in the past. It is way too hyped on social media that‘s why everyone wants to go there right now. As a result the prices will continue to rise.

Maybe just stop posting about this place. Just be happy, that you found it and had a wonderful time there.
If everyone who wend there, is sharing it, and tells how special it is and how beautiful the corals are and how alone you will be there… more and more people will come. It’s just a fact.
It is the same like it was with Bali or Lombock, Gili, Borneo and all the „special“ Places, where it once was so nice and beautiful… it’s really sad, that showing to everyone is more important, that just enjoy it.
