Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara: The southernmost island in Indonesia and one of the least visited. World-class surf, empty beaches, seaweed farms worked twice daily at low tide.
Villa Santai: The benchmark for luxury on the island. Starlink wifi, all-inclusive, fully booked most of the year. Find Dino. He knows every wave on every island.
The Secret Lagoon: Accessible only by kayak through a tributary at Oesili Beach. The southernmost point of Asia is visible from the water.

Mosquito netted hammocks with cock-crowing "Hello Mister" alarms an hour before my Casio. Travel costs $4/day including over a gallon of sopi. Now a bit behind you with the tree rings but well into my 50's I like the idea of the creature comforts of these resorts and even economy class seating on planes instead weeks on cargo and passenger ships.
