The video gets ahead of the evidence. BYD is preparing to enter Canada, but it still has no published Canadian prices or cars available to order, so claims that inexpensive Chinese EVs will seriously hurt Tesla or Toyota remain predictions rather than established facts.
A cheap BYD could eventually put pressure on Tesla and Toyota, but claiming a $19,990 EV is “about to hit Canada” is premature without an announced Canadian model, price, and launch date.
Sure. Why do you need American when you can buy everything cheaper from China?
