Certates are awesome.I haven't bought a new one in years and I'm feeling I might be due. I'm debating getting one for my grandson. So he'll always have a good spinning reel

Yes I have the previous LT5000 and love it for my plugs and stick and it is light enough to fish 1/2 oz jig heads.
This newer Certate looks stronger and smooth.

I’ll choose the made in Japan regular certate over the hd certate that’s made in china!

When it comes to spinning, I grew up fishing Pfleuger, Ryobi and Mitchells. Started using Penn spinners early 2000's and loved them. Still own a SSM 750, 850, 7000 Conquer and a SSG 550. I fish primary salt water and cast artificials 95% of the time. Penns are heavy. Started using Diawas, Shimanos and Garcias (Soron STX) around 2010 and haven't looked back. Diawa makes great reels and I believe in their quality control, even if the DIAWA plant is in China. The ONLY reason I haven't bought the 26 Certate HD is because I already own a 23 5000xh Saltiga and I don't need another reel in that size. Buy what YOU can afford. TIGHT LINES!👍🏾🇺🇸

Certates are so awesome,but, at that price point, im not far off from an Exist and id actually save money by going with a Twin Power XD which is lighter and just as strong.
Lovely reel regardless.

13 bearings cmon that is 10 too many .charging double the price for more bearings is not good .

Oh, they finally made the MQ body design symmetrical! Now it won't look a bit weird when switched to left handed setup for those 10% 👍

Daiwa went nuts on the price (it's the old Saltiga price and current Saltiga price is in the Stratosphere) and Made in China (like the Saltiga).

This wouldve been a really cool reel in 1000-2000 size with a deep spool.

Also you have the reel in your hands why you always read the website specs for line capacity, website is always so bad 😂 PE 1.5 =10lb PE 2 =20lb etc.
