This game blew my mind as a kid. I thought they had tricked a SNES game to work on the NES.

Kirby's Adventure is the best NES game? Yea, I can agree with that

Kirby's Adventure is one of those games that just feels so complete. It's the whole package, all wrapped up with a little bow.

If you wait on the title screen, it shows you a little introduction story for the game, and if you wait longer, there's even a little tutorial. There's minigames. There's a boss rush. There's an extra mode where you have to beat the game with 3HP, and when you beat it you unlock a Sound Test mode where you can listen to the best NES music ever. They thought of everything!

12:45 rainbow resort is canonically the furthest end of orange ocean that is so far from the mainland that it’s frozen over and the atmosphere is so thin that you can see stars. it’s also apparently a place DDD likes to visit, which I guess makes sense on how we found out about nightmares plot to take over the fountain.

Pretty unique that the final level in the platforming game is a ice and space

I think the only wrong take here is that Mario 3's the only NES good game: even at its most mid, Mega Man kept swinging with 6 bangers in a row.

I gotta play Kirby's Adventure! I'm excited to see how it fares

NES doesnt have a high quality library is one of the most braindead takes ive ever heard

This was the first Kirby game I ever played as a kid, and it lead to my love of the series! I originally played the 3DS remake, and I've since gone back and played the original and the GBA remake plenty of times. It's incredible how much was put into this game despite the NES' hardware limitations, and it's really cool how much of the elements in this game from the new game mechanics to the small details became mainstay motifs reappearing in almost every Kirby game after it. It's not the best game in the series, I'd argue it hasn't aged as well as some of the later sequels, but this game is absolutely a full Kirby experience that's a lot of fun to this day.

I used to complete Nightmare in Dreamland on the gba at least once a year as a kid. It really is such a magical experience.

The thing that surprises me in this game is the sheer amount of animations kirb has, he has animation for hitting a wall, falling too high, not so high, slope, sloper slope, it's just mind boggling

dude, this game is so good that it sometimes feels like a modern game that's really polished

Kirbys adventure was leagues ahead of anything else on the NES

its absolutely the best. the controls are fantastic, the difficulty curve is perfect, soundtrack is amazing, overall this game had a massive impact on my childhood and to this day still remember this game down to the day my grandpa took me to the store to buy it

13:44  bro this level made me feel nostalgic for a game i didnt even play. Adventure was my first kirby game so i didnt know there was a gameboy game before this

It is sad that Orange Ocean is the only adventure song to never have an official remix in a main game

Ya know I have learned a lot about the limitations of the NES and man knowing how little that thing can do makes Kirby adventure mind-blowing. I have zero idea how they managed to crame so much stuff in there

Away from my collection, but off the top of my head shatter hand, mega man 6, ninja gaiden 3, silius, little samson all offer gameplay and graphics that are pretty timeless. I always felt, having beaten the original nes mario games before Kirby came out that even as a 7 year old it was too simple and slow. Great game for what it is, i wish it was the first game i played because it's so kind to the player.

I was 8 when this came out and confirm of all the NES games I had this was the one I played the absolute most. Im 40 and will still hum the songs once in a while.

I love the Kirby franchise, there's a unique charm through all the games and even this one is a highlight among the Kirby games, is just a good well made videogame that you can enjoy even to this game

I love this game. I'd say that the whole second half of the game is more serene.
Despite the fact I played through this game multiple times, I still can't remember which level is in which world, because the transisions are so smooth.
This game is insane on details. 15:16 THIS CASTSCENE HAS AN IMPACT FRAME!

4:26 kirbys really mocking sonic now huh
