I built a camera to watch police cars. Then two officers showed up at my front door. That sent me deeper into Flock, surveillance, and what is happening in my own neighbourhood.

They actually showed up while I was sleeping, and after around 10 minutes of waiting in their unmarked police car, saw my dad (who was coming to visit me) walking up to my front door and chose to walk up at the same time as him.
When my wife opened the door to greet my dad, she immediately was asked by the officers to speak to me, to which my wife responded by coming upstairs, waking me up, and me coming down.
All the footage you see was captured by my solar powered security cameras which left gaps in its recording due to it only saving moments where "movement" was captured - why is why I requested and paid $323 for the bodycam footage (still waiting on them to send it over, as well as all the audit logs of how they're using local cameras).
I don't believe all cops are bad, and have had nothing but positive past interactions with them prior to this one. And even this interaction, while their questions and positions were leading and a bit ignorant at best, was a polite one that ended with a handshake. That's why I extended the courtesy of blurring their faces and protecting their privacy - even though that same courtesy is NOT extended back to citizens.
If you want real change to happen, the best way to do it is by continuing to raise awareness on the topic, talk to your city councillors, and let your voice be heard. I appreciate all the support from everyone - and believe this is an issue that the Canada NEEDS to start taking as seriously as everyone in the US is.
