I can agree it was a beautiful day on Sat last week. I had a pacer at Hove Prom last weekend, and I finally got my sub25mins Parkrun and some change of 23:51 🤗

Looks a fantastic day for it. I do wide and fast for the turns, may loose a place or two, but the pace stays more consistent.

What a great location and day. My local pr is not flat so one day I really need to find a good fast flat course to try.
Fun commentary and as a newer runner with only a few races under my belt its interesting to hear other thought processes.

U turns are a big wide sweep with the running buggy tipped onto the back wheels only 😅

I turn using the inverted backwards spin. It works brilliantly. Looks mental though 😂

It was a great day for a 5k parkrun. My son had a great day, managed a age grading of 94:77% 😊

I don't know if the achey bits go away completely, but you can make them ache a lot less 🤣

I would probl look like that elderly lady around 12:45 lol I used to run 5 min per mile now at 7:30ish. So a 24 min 5k.

Those turns work for me. First time I tried it I was the last man in a group of 5 and they all went to the left and took the wide line and I snook up on the inside and slowly moved around the cone and then accelerated off the line. Pulled away from all of them so it really does work. Apparently the backward spin is the one though but I don’t have the confidence to pull that off 😂

Great video, and good progression run! I did parkrun on Saturday and I was chasing 1st place, the guy went inside cones every turn which meant mini shortcuts and going off paths and onto the grass, which is called cheating 🤣. I ended up losing by 6 seconds 😂😂. Ah well, parkrun is not a race and was more pleased I could still run that quick even with pain on my left leg 🙃
