Started watching as high school teen, and now I’m a high school teacher just like Deku. Crazy times man!

“Young man, you too can be a hero.” That quote still sticks to me to this day.

I would argue that Deku being a teacher for eight years actually doesn't conflict with the message of "anyone can be a hero", as the final arc makes it clear that the definition of hero is not limited only to the more traditional pro heroes, but also to those who go out of their way to help others and society. By acting as a teacher for the next generation of UA students, I actually think Deku embodies this theme more strongly than if he was simply a pro hero right after the war.

“Horakoshi believed that it a girl who had to be naked to be invisible was funnier than a guy who had to be naked to be invisible.”
Yeah, “funnier” sure he did.

The best character is actually Deku's son Dookie. It says so in the official instruction manual.

1:58:04 The fact that Spider-Man exists, could mean the Miles Morales vs Deku death battle episode could be canon to the MHA universe.

The kaminari traitor theory reminds me of a meme from long ago where it asks how LOV found the camp and it showed a Twitter tweet bt denki where he unintentionally revealed the location of the camp

17:12 i always viewed All Might as being a representation of USA superheroes (specially those like Captain America and superman), cause thats where modern superhero stories originated from, so his 'obsession' with the USA may just be a reflection of that

Something to note about the thing with Melissa’s gadgets is that full gauntlet was destroyed during the final battle of the movie, and Deku orders a new one which he starts wearing on his hero costume from the latter half season 6, as well as a replica created by Mei Hatsume from seasons 7 through 8

Some of the most solid character writing I've seen in an anime of this sort. While definitely not breaking new ground, it was a good watch. And I'm sure this iceberg will be as well

To explain the Overwatch thing with like Tracer being Deku, in a dev blog during the first anime collab (One Punch Man) they explained that the Overwatch characters aren't actually becoming said collab characters/the collab characters aren't actually put into the game like how most collabs do things but more so it's the Overwatch characters cosplaying as the collab characters. Also on a slightly related note but usually when they do big collabs they give a good amount of bonus currency when purchasing coins so instead of the MHA bundle being like sixty bucks (5700 coins) it'd be closer to fourty to fifty bucks with some coins left over after you buy the bundle.
