I always put a big towel down when I am taking screws out of anything where if they fall I can't get to them.  That big towel has saved a few screws in my day  :)

Oil but did not crank over the engine should I redo the process ?

I have a 2006 Seadoo GTI SE with less than 100 hours. Machine runs great only issue is fuel gauge stops working intermittently. I never fogged the engine and I was wondering if at this point is it beneficial. I will do it just to be safe but wanted to hear your thoughts,

Fogging a 2 stroke is very important to protect the ball bearings on the crankshaft.  You actually spray through the carbs and let the induction system do its thing.  The exception to this was the Rotax 951cc Orbital Direct Injection motors.  They were equipped with a fogging tube that you could not possibly reach, LOL.

Fogging the top end and cylinder walls is very important as you mentioned in a 4 stroke.  My only suggestion is for folks to buy one of the extra-long spray tubes and hold the can upright.  This will make the job much easier to get the oil down the long plug tubes. Since you take the time to pull the fuel rail, do you remove the throttle body hose and spray the throttle body shaft?  I do not, but many people do.  The early 4Tec engines actually had port for that purpose.

Hi Jake!! So I do have some skills at a lot of things..we live in South Georgia and probably pull the ski out of water when it’s cold,, like nov-March? Just cause we don’t want to ride when it’s chilly,, question,, after this has been done then when you go to use it is that ok to start up with that in the cylinders,, spark plug area? Will it smoke? I'm new to owning a seadoo, do I still need to fog if I live in South Texas or is fogging more for winterizing in colder climates? TIA
