Content creator says "stop listening to content creators"
well now we're all stuck in a paradox thanks for that

Can confirm precons are popping, the new Jace EDH is polymorphing a token creature on turn 4 into who knows what.

Thanks Mald. I'll try these changes, and if I still don't enjoy it or my pod doesn't enjoy it. I may take the deck apart, but this insight has been quite valuable and I hope that your suggested changes will help.

Edit: After playtesting with your specicific suggestsions, I'm going to rebuild this almost entirely from the ground up. Because I realized while testing the revised version just how many cards were left that were suggested by other creators, but I wasn't as huge a fan of. So, naturally, I'm just going to do what you suggested and start mostly from the beginning, perhaps keeping most of the landbase and some of my favorite cards like Teval's Judgment, Insidious Roots, etc. And even if THAT doesn't result in something I'm happy with, then I'm simply going to succumb to good stuff and rebuild it *again*, but with Teval in the Command Zone. Since that card gives setup and payoff for all the "leave grave matters" effects I'd want to play while accelerating my mana, which the deck also struggles with since so many key synergy permanents are 3 or more mana.

I actually left this on in the background because I got hooked by "you have to slow the game down." I have a slow deck that doesn't have blue in it so learning how I can make games go longer rather than lowering the power was cool!

Step one: Glarb in the CZ

Worth noting that Twilight Diviner and specifically Accursed Marauder are kind of a nonbo because Accursed says "nontoken", so you'll need to sac something besides the token copy. Every other Fleshbag variant would work though

"That is just not commander anymore" Yeah that is my biggest struggle with mtg recently. The game is so explosive and fast, and I am much more like this deck creator and like slower more attrition based gameplay.

I just started building Kotis on Sunday. I currently have too many cards. So I need to tweak it a bit.

One thing to be careful of with the interaction between Accursed Marauder and Twilight Diviner is that Accursed Marauder says *nontoken*, if you make a token copy of it, you have to sacrifice *some other nontoken creature*, which in the case of the runout Mald demonstrated of that, would've been Twilight Diviner or Kotis, which is not ideal. Definitely have to be careful with your action order there.

It's kinda crazy they did pseudo escape instead of just giving him "gives creature cards in your graveyard escape" so you can't even use Uro with him...

damn Mald lookin' fine today.

Kotis is a commander you have to REALLY enjoy...

I go with the force low power strat.
He'd be a funny guy to kill someone w/ commander DMG..

It is a pauper commander deck, yes.
If you want old school casual magic...

Don't buy precons.
Build low power decks (intentionally)

Like some of the Dragons/Tarkir set were badge but Kotis was just TERRIBLE lol

Especially when you look at his alternate commander, we love the Wyrm. ✨

My advice is to not read this advice.

Has Mald ever looked at a deck that centers around rolling dice?

Didn't see it - could just be blind, but
Glimpse the Unthinkable is outright value for self-mill. Milling ten for ub is, frankly, absurd.
Going with the "grind the game to a (salubrious) snail's pace", Singularity Rupture as a board wide is also tremendously helpful. The additional traumatize off it is at will, so it could hit everyone (including yourself) or no one (including yourself) depending on current mood/vibes.

... yes, the snail joke was dumb.
No, I will not be retracting it.

Hate to be that guy, but isn’t this just a muldrotha deck if you go control? Ramp, board wipe, establish engine, play out of my graveyard?

Muldrotha can even recur tevals judment and such

Ok i will consider yourself blocked

Kotis is NOT worse than Teval if you build him right
