Writing a whole series of fantasy books as a pretense to talk about owls is truly a level of bird-related autism that I aspire to.

"its not, I lied"

Cant believe you lied to us after we trusted you

Feels like he came up with "Gahooligans" and worked backwards from there

The greatest irony of Owls being seen as goofy birds is that they are pure eldritch horror to anything that is their prey. A predator that can see you in pitch darkness, hear your heartbeat under a foot of snow, flies completely silently and is precision accurate with their talons. They tear you to pieces and swallow the rest of you whole, puking out your bones and fur a couple hours later.

It’s the eyes and the head tilting, they’re so doofy, fluffy and adorable, everything we humans see as cute. Yet they’re prolific predators. Love them 🦉

8:28 I don’t know if someone has already mentioned this, but I read it on the internet: “Owls bring live Texas blindsnakes to their nests, where the snakes act as ‘live-in housekeepers’ by eating insect larvae and parasites that could harm the owlets. This arrangement benefits both: the owlets have a cleaner, healthier environment, and the snakes gain protection and a food source.” It really shows how big a fan Kathryn Lasky was of owls.

I remember when I watched this movie, and when it clicked tome that Metal Beak was just a  German Fascist, I just whispered to my wife "Ad-owl-f Hootler"

A "Gahhooligan" is such a hilarious term I love it.

The only thing I remember thinking about this movie as a kid is that Owls in helmets and iron claws are cool as hell. Would say the same thing as an adult, also.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think you'd cover a movie that only I and I alone had seen.

Oh shit, apparently there's tens of us!

I love the idea of Zack being interested in a children's book only because it had a bunch of fantasy sentient birds Killing each other and it was the only thing rated low enough for his kids. Wholesome but it's the Snyder cut of wholesomeness

Bubo is Latin for owl. The scientific name for an Eurasian eagle-owl is Bubo bubo.

Bubo

I loved this movie so much as a kid (probably cause I didn't read the books) mostly because of how fricking beautiful it is, the animation is so ridiculously good no one who didn't see the movie back then would believe it's 15 years old

Bro loved Bubo so much, he had to make a video about a whole bunch of them.

The holy trinity of PointlessHub: Zach Snyder, Rolan Emmerick, and Micheal Bay

yes I spelled just about everything wrong. no im not going to change it. no english isn’t my second language.

I cannot stress how well animated this movie is.

Fun Fact: The Eurasian eagle-owl is called "Bubo Bubo Bubo"

Who would’ve thought Zack Snyder peaked with an owl movie nobody remembers

8:03 You can tell how much Cody loves owls by how much more detailedly and realistically than humans he draws them.

If only Snyderbros put their effort into getting the Guardians series finished instead of getting mad at Superman
