LDS Church membership in 2025 grew faster than it has in over a decade, and in the United States it went completely flat. Both numbers come from the same report.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported 385,490 convert baptisms for 2025, an increase of nearly 25 percent, and a worldwide total of 17,887,212 members. Over the same
twelve months the U.S. total moved from 6,929,956 to 6,929,770. This breakdown asks whether the LDS Church is growing or shrinking, and answers it with the Church's own figures rather
than a survey. We cover where the 385,490 converts actually came from, why the record 88,500 full-time missionaries matters, what 204 operating temples and 172 more announced or under
construction forecast about the next thirty years, and why nobody outside the Church Office Building can tell you the activity rate. One flat year in the United States is noise. Two would be something else.
