Planning a knitting trip to Copenhagen? I'm Lise — born and raised here, and living in the city centre for the last six or seven years. In this video I share five honest tips to help you get the most out of your visit (and avoid a few things that quietly annoy the locals).
What I am wearing: The Knitty Committee Tee by Lily Kate France: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Lise...
I cover:
Cost — why Copenhagen is genuinely expensive, and how to eat, drink and sleep for less by staying just outside the tourist centre
Yarn stores — there are 25+ in central Copenhagen alone. Grab my free yarn store guide PDF to plan which areas to hit on which days (and remember: most shops close early on Saturday and stay shut on Sunday)
Biking — the spicy one. Why renting an e-bike might not be the good idea it sounds like, unless you really know city cycling and the rules.
The rules for how to cycle in Denmark: https://www.sikkertrafik.dk/rad-og-vi...
Getting around — the metro, buses and harbour bus, plus the travel app to set up before you land so you can go straight from the airport into the city
The Rejsekort app: https://www.rejsekort.dk/da/rejsekort...
Must-see places — my honest take on Tivoli, Nyhavn and seeing the city from the water (both the tourist harbour tour and the budget harbour bus version)

I absolutely get what you are saying about the cycling, but after learning the ropes from the locals and a few years of riding, there is nothing more enjoyable than planning a 15 to 20 km loop to hit some great yarn stores, with a nice lunch break in the middle. Plus, yarn purchases can be better controlled when everything has to fit in your backpack or basket!
When you update your PDF, (fantastic btw!), go ahead and include Selfmade. They have there own, pretty extensive yarn range now called Freya as well as stocking some Lana Grossa. And finally, there is a setting on the Rejsekort app for English, and you're right, it's one of the most convenient ways to use pubic transportation in the world. I love it. So, visitors! take the train up to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. It's gorgeous and always my #1 recommendation. Thanks Lisa
