You can watch the entire speedrun here, guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXiwNUYXbhE&lc=Ugw2WKFTbw-NrhqfQnV4AaABAg

"If it's fun, you don't patch it."
Best developers ever

5:44
"We don't talk about Lethal Company here. Ever."

The developers making sure the game is fun but not broken, adding things for speedrunners, and keeping in touch with their community? damn the REPO devs are really setting an example for what every other game dev should be doing!

I love it when devs see speedruns and think, "I should do this to help speedrunners." As someone in the speedrun scene, adding an in game timer (preferably one that doesn't include loading times, as the speedrun appears to not use load times) is a really nice feature for them. It's even pretty good for normal play as people can see how long they are on a certain level

12:30 "Health is not free"
This game is getting too realistic

In my gameplay, the baby threw a 90k moneybag at me from my cart, it bounced back from me and fell into the void. I thought I was going to have a stroke.

7:29 The "noooooooo they want the glooooory :( " was so cute with the bot emotions.

What I love about random seed speedrun compared to set seed speedrun is that every run is unique and require quick thinking and strategy

8:37 Träsmak - It's when your butt gets numb from sitting too long on a hard surface.

14:40 I think he was checking the UPGRADES, cuz thats how you check your upgrades by opening the map.

13:15 "Those babies... And belive us, we're gonna make more enemies like that!"
This one sentence will give me nightmares for weeks to come...

The problem with "there's gotta be a faster way to empty the cart" is that the easiest way would be to tip the cart over.  Which is explicitly something it's NOT supposed to do.

I'm not a speedrunner myself, but I'm definitely an enthusiast. I love it when the devs are supportive of speedruns and don't just patch out every little bug and glitch. "Will we patch this? Nah, it's funny." Is a great way to look at it imo! Set seeds or speedrun modes (with toggle-able things! So if the people want RNG they can have RNG, if they only want shop RNG they can have that, etc etc etc) sound super interesting! Also for challenge modes!

I can't believe that even the dev calls the Rugrat enemy a "baby"

"If it's funny don't patch it" my kind of people

the words "I have the mind of one of the developers inside of me" hits different after you get familiar with the lore of the REPO huh (or at least theories)

The answer to the riddle is ON. Backwards is no (refusal) and forwards turns on the fuse of a switch

Glad that speedrunning is getting some attention!! With the change of how map value is calculated and scaling per level it changes the way you speedrun a bit and it it technically faster, you just need more luck on the new version!
A few tricks explained for those who are interrested:
-Cart Boosting: Dragging the cart behind you makes you faster than walking, slightly slower than sprinting.

-Crouch Cart Boosting: When Cart Boosting and crouching, you still get the speed but also the stealth of a full crouch to scoot past enemies since they have to touch the moving cart to agro onto you.

-Emptying the cart on Extractions: This makes so we dont have to wait for a bag, we just throw in the ammount the quota is to quickly move onto the next extract.

-SlideTumbling: When Sliding, Jumping, Then Tumbling we get a ton of horizontal speed, making it the most efficient movement method when not having / needing the cart anymore.

-Self Destructing In Shop: Self Destructing in shop makes the truck instantly progress to the truck section after shop (as if you pressed the button to leave shop)

-Bulk Buying: Buying multiple of the same upgrade in shop saves money by not letting the price increase in between of buying when you would by 1 at a time.

Notes:
The Importance of indestructable drone + feather should be obvious, its extremely powerful
And the buff to guns makes the handgun extremely viable and good for runs as carrying you through the whole run!
Manor is by far the worst map for speedrunning (this doesnt mean it can't be good with very good luck!) because of the room layouts being very tight and some loot being high up making it slower to check (like infinite stair room later on manor)
