It's been a year since my husband, 5 children and I have joined the Church ❤ What a blessing!

Long story short. I was raised a "secular" Baptist. I started teaching Sunday School and got kicked out of my position for asking questions that the Church couldn't answer. That lead me to Messianic Judaism, because I wanted to find the true Church that Jesus started. After our Rabbi was caught in a scandal, I did my homework on the early Church, and that lead me to Coptic Orthodox. I'm finally home 🙏.

I believe the message of the Coptic Orthodox Faith is very much alive and on fire in our beloved youth. The Holy Spirit is working through them to reach a broader audience who are very much in need and seeking the true faith and God. They see our youth and they want to come and see God 🙏

Younger generation are truth seekers! We have learned that much of what we’ve been taught has been false. And it’s opening up more to seek truth and early church history.

I think many of us only knew of Catholicism vs Protestant…never knowing another option.

My best friend, and 2 others, were received into the holy Orthodox Church on Saturday. His first service ever was 7 years ago during my baptism (he was an atheist at the time).

Oooh excited to listen!!! Our family discovered the Coptic church earlier this year and was baptized in March!🙏🏼🩷 I spent roughly 4 years seeking to find the early church and navigating a host of “movements”, different denominational beliefs, and many false teachers….

If often felt like in the Protestant/non-denom. world that you’re left having to “choose” between these two extremes or these different theological “camps” pitted against another vs a Biblical “both/and” that I’d see in the Scripture… I got so weary looking for the fullness of truth and a consistency taught with the whole of scripture and so I prayed desperately to find it, “no matter what it costs me of looks like”. Well, God opened our eyes to orthodoxy, and then the Coptic Church specifically. My husband and I left our leadership roles in our prior church and a community we loved, which was hard, but we thank God for His mercy and grace to answer our prayers.

As the only non-Egyptian, American-born deacon in my local Coptic Orthodox Church, and as a past member of numerous Protestant churches from which I learned essentially nothing, I came to know Coptic orthodoxy as the only true faith. Founded by Saint Mark in the First Century AD, supported by many hundreds of martyred saints and confessors living and dead over the past 2,000 years, largely unchanged since its founding, and grounded firmly in the teachings of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, no other faith can claim its inherent legitimacy.

Because the beauty of the presentation, organization, depth, reverence, historicity, warmth, and much more at first are naturally magnetic to a new believer or inquirer. Then it becomes clear after some time that all those qualities are not just the attributes of the Church but they are the reflection of the power of God. If this blessed Church is so incredibly welcoming, so powerful through the sacraments, so loyal to the truth and valid precedence, so subtly sacrificial in service, so constant and unchanging… how much more can these things be true about the God behind it? Please God continue to bless all Coptic Churches.
