Unfortunately, I forgot to present the commenters who pointed out two different points within the video.  The first, regarding Ordis' Indifferent nature was from a user name Side Quest Stories, and the concept of drinking Kuva at the end of the War Within being a precursor the man in the wall to... take over is from another who calls themselves Pi Jee.  Thank you so much for pointing that out to me, and I apologize for forgetting to put your nameplates in!!  I'm sorry!!!

Still cant believe how the Man in the wall went from "Its a metaphor of how we are trapped in something unmovable" or "Its a highly secret message that we never understand" to "No no no, Man IS wall."

All I know about Warframe is that I went from a mag starter to a mag prime main and now I can date the mag protoframe. W game fr. Appreciate the lore refreshers and theories though

Wally's deal, "I can save them, all of them, but you have to WANT it.", with the context of 1999 makes me wonder if the deal means Wally will save the people we WANT saved.
We formed a bond with the other children and wanted them saved, but the parents seemed beyond saving, so we didn't want them saved, per-se.
1999, we built bonds with them and truly WANTED them to be saved.
In other words, to not be indifferent.

We promised to give him a better wall

“Imagine a color youve never seen, you are there”

Albrecht himself did say that the wrench in MITW's works was "Love"

We aren't just a hero by the generic standard. Much more than "Doing what's right" as a duty

Instead, our Operator/Drifter is compassionate. They WANT to help, save and do better. They stand up for and protect those who cannot do so for themselves.

Which is the EXACT opposite of the Orokin. Big W sees our character as "Worthy", where as the Orokin were nothing more than thieves. Other than running Albrecht's fade, I'm still uncertain of what big W really wants.

Like you said. Only 1 Orokin left, after that, what's the point of staying in the system at all?

I think get his fingy back definitely, but he seems to want us as an ally more than a tool or just another sap to collect on.

Maybe he wants a family, which is the craziest hypothesis so far, but...He keeps calling us kiddo after all.  Drifter is basically Big Bro. Lotus is space mom and we got Uncy Tesh in Duviri.

Maybe, other than seeking the conclusion to his revenge, he is also trying to understand Love/Feelings in general and is only attempting to do so with his selected few. Also kinda seems like he's tryna get us to see things his way as in trying to get us to feel indifferent as well, but maybe that's a part of him just trying to figure out why we ARENT indifferent and that it seems illogical in the grand scheme of things.

We cannot disregard the face he made in response to Albrecht saying love was his weakness. Because how many times have we seen Big W NOT smiling?

What if, he's genuinely curious about our reality? Wants to learn it, be a part of it and experience it freely? I mean, the Void aint called the Void for it's abundance of stuff to do lol. Maybe this is all extremely new and in a way exciting to him. Idk, I'm just spit ballin here

We know quite a few things about Wally's motivations in 1999. Namely:
- He doesn't like that parts of him were 'taken'
- He especially doesn't like the people responsible for 'hurting' him.
- He doesn't seem to understand why we care.
- While, yes this does more broadly extend to the Orokin, it very specifically deals with one man in particular. Entrati.

I think that a number of things are kinda misread. We have very little in the text to suggest that Wally has much of an interest in the Sentients or the War. Why would he?
Umbra also doesn't have a real relation to Wally, though he does have a connection to Ballas, the same person who glassed Ordis. It's good to remember that Ordis' entire personality developed organically after his glassing, he wasn't quirky out of the box. There was something about what Ballas had done to Umbra that made him dangerous to interface with - that is what Ordis was warning us about.

The scene of Erra's death suggests that Lotus, not Wally, was in control there. Wally taking control of the Operator is a plot point brought up in Lotus Eaters, which suggests that Wally does not have that kind of influence. Consent is a major theme in the Wally/Operator relationship.

The big reveal with Ballas at the end of New War is that he was secretly collaborating with the Sentients with the intent of destroying the empire and erecting his own. Wally wasn't needed for that. Moreon, Entrati didn't seem to speak much of his experiences with anyone outside of Loid.
This also isn't the only time we've seen the Lotus being puppeted, it's another plot beat of the New War that Ballas had that power over her the entire time.

Additionally, the Drifter can't really be left out of the equation on the matter of the deal. They made an identical deal, and as the Duviri tablet cynically suggests, Wally technically kept his end of the deal and suggests he expects Drifter to do the same.

That specific conversation with Quincy is covering what are essentially Spectres - a term frequently used to describe the devolved state of Warframes when their consciousnesses has eventually dissolved. These Warframes used to be people, not all of them willing, and not all of them kept their heads together in the long term. If not for the Tenno, the Warframe project would have been shuttered entirely.

30:15
Important context for Soul Reaver: Raziel isn't 'saved' by the Elder at all. He was *found*. It is a parasite, lurking in the background of the entire plot, that just used Raziel like it used everyone else.

33:45
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Holdfasts, who explicitly mention the Tenno as a light that shelters them from the song of the Void.

35:24
Ruskala stands out. We don't have much text on her or any interaction she had with the Void, nor do we really know if there are any limits to who or what  Wally can shift into.

44:55
Between the Labs and Harrow, Wally was definitely not 'resting' in the interim. As 1999 shows, his grievance with Entrati is personal.

46:10
The Veils show people a vision of what they want to be real. We can see a scene of Tenshin struggling against it's influence before he is tossed. The reason why Narmer is still so much of a thing is because, as Ballas himself said, many people would rather just be in the matrix, so to speak.

This is a mad over simplification but we're just space ghost rider.....

Ohh, was the Drifter being fed by the Void to see the Orokin in a less than flattering light, through the lense of a bitter Wally, on Duviri? The stylistic choices of utilizing puppet-like character design is so manifold, they're also strawmen, not just puppets in a play.

I just thought of something... When the Operator says that they killed Isaah, is that how we took Umbra's pain away? By literally taking the guilt and responsibility unto ourselves? Has that always been obvious? I always thought that we healed Umbra through reconciliation and comfort.

I was just recently running through Duviri and was somewhat shocked when I heard the children singing a poem during Sorrow:
"Oh the wall rose high...
And it Wished it could cry
With the tears of a thousand eyes
For Sorrow it sought...
But it never thought
How it already kept its prize"
I'm not sure how it pertains to your theory presented here.. and I can't even really claim that it pertains to Wally, but it makes it feel like it has its prize already.. at least sort of.

I will actually go ahead and say I don't think we started a Faustian Deal with Wally.

My main reason for thinking that is because I continue to grow stronger towards the thought that Wally is not an enemy of at the very least the Player Tenno.

Especially with the Hex Quest his actions emphasized that Wally has no ill will against us, infact quite the opposite.

I got the impression that when he talked about our deal vs the orokin, he seems to insinuate that he was quite happy to share his power because we asked for it.

During the War Within choice the dialouge for destroying Kuva is also very noteworthy as Wally seems to make note of us "disliking him"

This further goes into Tagfers theory that The Indifference is looking for companionship but doesn't quite understand how to do so.

In the Hex Finale Wally also says "And I thought we were becoming friends" and seems to geniunely want to warn us that from his perspective trying to save the Hex makes no sense.

Which in a way actually seems to imply Albrecht outsmarted the Indifference. It had no idea he wasn't going to use the nuke in the final loop.

So the question becomes if The Indifference wants to be our friend.... should we once again reach out our hand in *Love*?

Or....should we reject him like the butchers who came before us?

18:13 5 Tenno, 5 Tenno Focus Schools

I will make a deal with Wally to make Garuda my wife

On the light part. Quinn the holdfast mentions our light and how bright we shine all the time. Another void being who sees our light?

What if this is all a time-loop? "We end as we began" "What took you so long?" We are introduced to Wally almost as if our timelines are passing in opposite directions, similar to the episodes of Dr Who where The Doctor meets River Song for the first time. She's known him all her life, he has no idea who she is and each time they meet he knows more and she knows less. What if Wally IS us, is The Drifter, and The Tenno, and Dominus Thrax? What if he is just another eternalism instance (for lack of a better classification)? One that has gone mad from years of being trapped in the void by his own ignorant, unknowing, younger self. Giving us the power in exchange for taking his place when he finally is able to leave the void, after the rest of the Orokin, (who put him in this situation to begin with) have been disposed of.

What if we're the authors of a Faustian bargain with ourselves?

Wally,
Many think he's tricking us, into doing something that can't be undone. That might be true... But what if he's the only one who been straight with us. And our mistrust is what making all this chaos, reality.
I personally think its a bit of both. which is why I love these video ponders. And I love this, we set in motion events that can't be stopped. Theme, that this game follows.

48:00 Allright but that smile: couldn't it simply be her genuine emotions at seeing that we were ok after trying to shield US from the man in the wall? Think of it from her perspective: the big wall man jumpscared you and your hand is literally on fire. You don't know if your child behind you is going to be giving a wally grin or not. You turn around and they're ok. I'd smile faintly with relief then faint, wouldn't you?

I really hope to see how the Operator will handle all of this and not just have them become a damsel in distress that sits around while the Drifter does everything
