Wow! Bergman! I AM impressed. I haven't seen this in 45 years. It is refreshing to see someone reacting to something a little more highbrow than the Hulk.

The absolute classic by Swedish director Igmar Bergmann. It's very philosophical and gives you a lot to think about. I really like the intensity with which Skull watches the movie.

Max von Sydow was only 44 when they shot The Exorcist.  Makeup was used to make him appear older.

Bergman is one of the all time greatest Directors, you should watch Fanny and Alexander coming up to Christmas.

Never expected to find a channel reacting to Bergman, but if it was going to be anyone then it would be you two, you never disappoint.  Something to consider when describing something as being very 'modern';  there is very little which hasn't been done before, particularly in cinema.

Oh, wow!  Someone reacting to Ingmar Bergman.  It must be a first for Youtube.  I hope you continue.  There are so many others, both historic movies and contemporary ones.  Try Wild Strawberries (also made in 1957), Smiles of a Summer Night (inspiration for Sondheim's Little Night Music), The Magic Flute (Mozart), and Fanny and Alexander (I prefer the mini-series version).  Ingmar also made one movie with INGRID Bergman called Autumn Sonata.

A classic that's been parodied in the films of Woody Allen, Monty Python, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, etc. The first Bergman film I saw in film class as a teenager in 1982. Unforgettable!

I usually recommend The Virgin Spring as an introduction to the films of Bergman but there are so many great ones to pick from such as Through a Glass Darkly and Winter Light.

This is one of the most influential movies ever made. Yes, the image of death playing chess has. Den endlessly parodied, and the scene with the flaggelants and the witch was parodied in MONTY PYTHON THE THE HOLY GRAIL.
