Thanks, it is good to see more Youtubers being a bit more careful in their reviews. I will definitly give some of them a try, they seem to brush on very nicely. We will see.

Came for an unbiased review from Stuart. I am pleased.

Perfect timing. I've been wanting to know exactly this since they released the range.

Stewart gives good reviews. Glad to see an honest review. A lot of other youtubers are glazing the heck out of this line.

Interesting video, it's good to see a channel I watch regularly trying them out with an honest reaction. Personally I'm going to keep plodding on with oldskool painting techniques, but a part of me wants to see this range succeed. Solely because GW doing well means I get more nice Warhammer Old World releases... :D

Great vid Stu: good to know how they are through an airbrush

I went and used these at the store store on the weekend. My first impressions were really good, but only used some of the blues, green and reds. The black was excellent IMO. Part of the shiny aspect is because glossier paints will level out better, having used My Hobby and other lacquer paints for military models. I think these are a big step up from what they've produced over the last few decades in quality. Making a wash was simple as the pigmentation was strong. I will certainly be picking some up on launch, but certainly not the whole range as that is a bit overkill. Thanks for your video 🙂

Just saw the intro... 🤣🤣🤣 This is going to be a good one !!!

@kevinhull7175 1 day ago

The paints are thin, because GW found out we were thinning our paints and making them last longer!!!!

@RichDoesGames 22 hours ago

had me raging at that stupid blob test intro for a moment! you got me!

The #5 in each range seems like they'd last the longest (apart from the white), if used as a pentad for every colour one puts down on a mini, as it seems to be for only the final, smallest highlights. Like the final edge highlighting on e.g. the upturned parts of space marine armour.

Getting good coverage over black isn’t much of a selling point for me as I stopped using black as a primer a long time ago - but interested to pick up one or two if I find a colour that I like.

Thus far, I've seen very positive and very negative reviews of this range in equal measure. And now yours. Yours is the only believable one.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with it!

Thanks for sharing your impressions! QQ what wet palette is that? I like the size.

@earnestwanderer2471 1 day ago

Most of the reviews I’ve seen, to date, seem to like the paint and wish it was in dropper bottles, instead of pots. Since GW isn’t replacing the existing line, I can’t see a use for these, other than the white/black grouping.

@shauntaylor9251 1 day ago

Does anyone actually know how much they will cost yet and whether they will be in singles or packs of each colour ?

@michaelhaskell2155 1 day ago (edited)

1. You mentioned the sightly shiny aspect to these new paints. What would you suggest would be the best way to get a more matt look on a finished model?
2. Do they need any particular primer like the contrast paints do? Would a particular primer (such as the two GW ones for their contrasts) work better or does it not really matter?
Useful initial views; I am going to give them a whirl.

@AsherIcing 1 day ago

From my testing at the store, they felt like GW paints with tweaks. Limited but feels more like these will help beginners as GW paints always seemed to settle at over anything 'pro' but then again might just be bias. Will I pick them up? Probably not, doesn't feel as innovative as Contrast did in a way that'll change how I paint everything and I'm already settled with Fanatic, which already felt like 'GW paints +' anyway with their formulae and droppers?

@NisGaarde 1 day ago

Hi Stu, you've probably answered this a hundred times already, so apologies. But which brushes do you use?

@rkunisch 1 day ago

They look fair, but I think they have the typical GW flaws: expensive, no dropper bottles and are pushed like the best since sliced bread. I will continue to use Two Thin Coats. They currently more convincing for me.
