The fact the European team went to Jones after the game. Such good sportsmanship

Wanted JJ to win so bad. Loved when David came over to acknowledge the excellent match.

I was at the event and believe me the pressure the players were under must have been unbearable,JJ is human and all humans make mistakes, hats off to both teams they put on a great show, roll on vegas

It’s not just about how he lose the game, I see a very respectable man approached by his European rivals. It’s hard to earn such respect. If it’s Earls I am 100% sure none from that end will show remorse.

The captain has to know all rules forwards and backwards

I never knew of Jeremy Jones that much prior to the Mosconi Cup, but I’m suddenly a fan. He’s so passionate.

I really appreciate Shaw and Karl to go to JJ after the match. They know it is a horrible way to lose a match. A wholesome moment for me

Jones has been awesome so far. Couldn't ask anymore from the guy. He was takin world class players to the max on one of the grandest stages. Good for him, and he should get the MVP regardless of what happens.

Kudos to Team Europe, knowing that they don't like winning in that kind of fashion. Surely, they have high respect for US's Captain.

I have read a lot of comments on this. Here is my take as a player myself. All players, Especially the Captain should know and understand the rules. The Referee is only there to enforce the  rules and call fouls that he observes. The Referee is not there to tell you that you are about to violate a rule or create a foul. This is a major tournament with world class players. That all being said, I think Jeremy Jones really showed a lot of class and spirit during this match. I also think that the gestures from the European team speak volumes to their respect and admiration for Jeremy. We all make mistakes and sometimes it costs us a victory. I want to thank all of the players for bringing us another year of excitement ! I live 361 days a year to see this tournament. It is by far my favorite event and this year has been a great roller coaster all the way ! Stay safe and good luck to all !

That was a masterclass in 9 ball defence. Incredible stuff.

Amazing rack and an amazing match overall. Shame to end that way. Have watched a lot of JJ but this rack in particular turned me into a massive fan. No practice whatsoever, no competitions in a long time and still played with courage and passion. Hats off to Jeremy Jones for the match and the Europe team going to congratulate him on a great match and comfort him in an unlucky ending.

This is why I love this game. I have a whole other level of respect for Jeremy Jones after this. Probably the best match of the year...... Anywhere. Talk about digging deep. He did it in spades.

Absolute heartbreak, we are rooting for you Jeremy!!!

Amazing rack .. Hats off to JJ for the game he bought out today .. Respect to Alcaide and the European Team for walking up to show their respect to JJ for his performance. Last minute playing captain. End the last day with a blast JJ.

haven't seen Jones so mad since he challenged Earl to take it outside with him!

Am rooting for Europe but man, I felt so bad for Jones and felt he deserved better.

I know next to nothing about American pool, but I'll make 2 observations :
1 The ref cleaned that ball in record time ( when I watched it I thought the ref had rushed it )
2 A professional pool player ( especially a veteran ) should be familiar with the rules of the game.

The referee did what he could do to save some time for the shot. I don’t think he should warn the player about the shot clock cause is fair to the both players. JJ played awesome as a retired player. It was definitely a great match. GG, JJ

To be fair the ref said 10 seconds before he cleaned the que ball
