Why can't all Shadow Haters be like Abraham "Abe" Tower? He used to hate Shadow, but he started to have respect for him after he saved the world from Black Doom.
It could have been a good chance to re-establish the Babylon Rogues, after years in the wilderness. Especially when Jet is supposed to be Sonic's main rival when it comes to racing. And given that we saw Jet beat Sonic in the story mode, of the first Riders, would it really hurt Shadow's standing THAT much if he were to put over Jet here? It all feels very much like John Cena vs the Nexus, if I'm to compare it to anything.
Also with saying about Sonic being written very well in Night of the Werehog, well of course he was! It was 2008 (before the Meta Era)! It was by Japanese writers!
