The audience was restricted to clapping only because this was during the pandemic. The band was lucky that this concert could go ahead at all, but they could only sell every second seat so as to make social distancing possible and make filtering the air easier, everyone in the audience had to wear masks, and no yelling or singing was allowed.

This song was jointly written by Asami (vocals) and long term Lovebites collaborator Mao. The Album it is from, Electric Pentagram, was a winter release,  and Asami wanted a 'winter' song for it.
The concert from 2021was performed under strict Covid related restrictions. The audience was limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks, no moving from the assigned seat, and no shouting or cheering. Only applause allowed. This is why the audience may seem subdued for a metal concert.
Asami trained as a Ballet Dancer before becoming a singer, this shows in her graceful dance movements on stage.
Guitarist/pianist Miyako was several months pregnant with her baby daughter when this was performed. Her guitar is resting on her 'baby bump'. That kid is going to have some serious 'bragging rights' when she is a little older 😄 🐺

いつもながら、たった5人でこの曲を構成している事に驚嘆します

This song is an epic masterpiece. It showcases how talented and musically-diverse this band is. BTW, this specific concert back in 2021 was held in the middle of the pandemic and the crowd was only allowed to clap, they were fully masked and they couldn't shout or scream.

One my favorite Lovebites songs.  Thanks for the reaction. ❤

There's a reason why the audience was surprisingly quiet.
The concert took place in March 2021. What was happening in the world at that time?

This is one of the main reasons I Love Lovebites so much. They can and do play almost any genre of music . . and they often mix and match several genre's in the same song. If I hadn't seen them Live twice it would be hard to believe they were Real . . (saw them last Wednesday in Austin)

Superb! I just saw LOVEBITES earlier this week, and there were indeed two people who passed out, so you may be right! But the ladies were so nice, stopping the show and even offering to help. I can count on some of the best headbanging from you guys! Please continue with LOVEBITES!

"One of the most difficult things for any band to achieve: originality." (Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden) ~~ LOVEBITES made it.

They've discovered one of Lovebites' masterpieces. Considered by most fans to be the band's number one song, "They are capable of anything." Welcome to WolfPack. Greetings from Brazil.

当時コロナが流行っていました。皆マスクし騒ぐことを自粛したのです・・

Love your reaction. you are such a nice people. i  discovered Lovebites some years ago and after 35 years of listening to metal music Lovebites became my all time fave metal band. Glory to this amazing band. love these ladies so much

It happens sometimes when you experience genius in music- there is nothing you can do but to just be silence and let it envelope you.

Nice reaction, thanks. The difference between two versions  is Asami's dancing in the middle. She was studying to be a ballerina.

What a masterpiece . One of their many. 🤘 🐺 GER

If Miyako shredding guitar and then sitting down at the piano still wearing the guitar while she plays that lovely melody isn't impressive enough, I should point out that she was resting the guitar on her 4-5 month baby bump! A very impressive woman and maestro musician who can clearly multitask.

The Queens Of Metal . That much is sure. 🤘 🐺 GER

Great reaction, one of my Favs, these Ladies are the Queens of Metal, they never disappoint, luv them

This perhaps my favorite LBs track of all - everything that they do so well is embodied in this mini-symphony in 3 parts. Amazing 🎸🤘🐺

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics & credits:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight

A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade

One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins

When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace

A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade

Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more
