"Oh my God...she's flying." That was wonderful!

Just so you'll know you'll be getting comments telling you that there is a better version of this with a chopi piano intro and mix, however this is on their official channel,  you should check the other one out as well, if you like this one wait till you see the other. Anyway thanks for another  great reaction  and see you soon 🤘🎤🎸🎹🥁🐺

One of my many favorite things about Lovebites is that intentional writing of excellent melodies paired with positive, uplifting lyrics!  And then there's the musicianship, stage-show, etc, etc.....  Thanks for always supporting Lovebites!🤘

Great music from amazing musicians, thanks for another nice reaction! 🦢🤘🐺🤘

To me, this is the true sound of Lovebites. Heavy metal? I have no idea, but it is beautiful. melodic music.

Miyakos incredible Song composing with her amazing touches of Melody are so beautiful .. Talent Overload

This band's talent is off the charts.
If you liked this, you have to react or watch on your own Dystopia Symphony plus Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata from a March 2025 in Tokyo. It is truly mindblowing. The title of the video is "LOVEBITES - DYSTOPIA SYMPHONY + Moonlight Sonata Live"

Vocalist, Asami, studied ballet for many years - hence her flowing movements. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics & credits:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts

Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven

Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan

If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more

Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven

Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan

SOLO: miyako / both

Glaub was in deiner Seele ist
Denn der Tod wird zu allen kommen
Du sollst friedlich in Gottes Himmel ruhen

Schwebender Lotus
Du bist so anmutig
Heilig und herrlich
Bis zum Ende der Zeit
Schwebender Lotus

Glaub was in deiner Seele ist
Denn der Tod wird zu allen kommen
Du sollst friedlich in Gottes Himmel ruhen

Schwebender Lotus
Du bist so anmutig
Heilig und herrlich
Bis Ende Zeit
Schwebender Lotus
Sie sind so schön
Sing mir dein süßes Lied
Die Legende vom Schwan

Schwebender Lotus
Du bist so anmutig
Heilig und herrlich
Bis zum Ende der Zeit
Schwebender Lotus
Sie sind so schön
Sing mir dein süßes Lied

To understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song, historical knowledge is required. In 1830, in the Kingdom of Poland under the rule of the Russian Empire, students of the military academy and other groups initiated the November Uprising. The rebellion continued until 1831 but was suppressed by Russian military intervention, and Poland’s autonomy was greatly restricted. Chopin left his homeland just before the uprising and never returned. His Études, Op. 10 were published in Paris in 1833, and the twelfth piece in C minor later came to be known as the “Revolutionary Étude.” LOVEBITES’ Miyako (guitar/keyboard) composed Swan Song using motifs from this “Revolutionary Étude” and Dvořák’s From the New World, while Asami (vocals), drawing on the historical background of the Revolutionary Étude, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology’s Valhalla and the ballet Swan Lake. The song is positioned as a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland.
Miyako only brings her keyboard to large venues within Japan, and even then, she performs classical pieces only during tours where a new song—based on that classical work—is being premiered. As a result, the performance of “Revolutionary Étude” from Live in Tokyo 2020 is the only video of her playing that piece. Incidentally, the white piano she used was a Roland digital piano rented specifically for the concert, and she reportedly struggled quite a bit to adjust to its distinctive key touch.

Building on this context, it becomes clear why Swan Song holds such a special place in their repertoire. The piece is not merely a fusion of classical motifs and metal composition; it is a work in which Miyako and Asami reinterpret a historical tragedy through their own artistic lens. By weaving together Chopin’s sorrow for his lost homeland, Dvořák’s longing expressed in From the New World, and the symbolic imagery of Valhalla and Swan Lake, they created a narrative that transcends time and culture. The result is a song that resonates as both a tribute and a lament—an anthem for those who fought, fell, and were remembered.

They can all play piano to varying degrees, but Miyako (the dark-haired guitarist), is a classically trained pianist (started at age 3) and could have been a professional concert pianist but decided to pick up the guitar (at 18 years old) and chose to become a metal guitarist instead! She has put out several rock/metal songs that she has adapted to piano.
For example, Lovebites released a cover they did of "Eagle Fly Free" from Helloween:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To21HILZvYE
and Miyako has a piano cover of this:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h3BLRs0Xr4
If you don't know this song, here is an original version from Helloween:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c2HX9AhWx8
It's really great to watch the original version, then Lovebites cover, and then Miyako's piano version! You get to see how much the members of Lovebites really appreciate and honor their predecessor musicians.

Elite talent.
