Old school... Gladiator style... School of Hard Knocks for real.

"Referee right on top of that, too." Moments after a guy actually was choked out, unconscious.

"He moves his legs, that is a good sign."

When mortal combat was real.

the good old pre usada times

Back then when you could just make up fighting records:)

42:15  “… he’s got a steel hinge tattooed on his elbow,,, to show that you can’t get an armbar on him”

Sakuraba: Hold my saké.

Holy shit this old school stuff makes the modern day ufc seem soft like boxing. Wish this was still around.

These Karate guys don't stand a chance. Over the years the cream has definitely risen to the top.

This brings back the excitement from before anyone knew what jujitsu or "catch wrestling" or "submission fighting" was. Back when this was the real life "best of the best" and nobody realized that a 110 lb guy could strangle a road raging monster in less than a minute. I remember my 9 year old self sometimes wishing the Gracies missed a tournament or 2 just so i could watch all the strikers go at it. I think he sat out ufc 2 or 3 and then it was shamrock and Severn laying on everyone lol totally took the world by surprise though that weight classes could be ignored over technique

Toughest guy in the Ring was the Ref Gokor.

The UFC should make their cages just like this one! Much better view for the audience! But i guess "octagon" sounds cooler...

“Tom is fine.”😂😂😂

Beatiful times...

The days when commentators had no ideas

"They're not losing their air. Just blood to the head."
Oh. Ok. It's all good, guys. Brains don't need that stuff.

Every fight the color commentator prematurely announces "This fight is over."

Imagine being a BJJ fighter back in the day. You really had nothing to be afraid of.

Things changed quickly in the sport tho.

He wakes up and he's like " that wasn't that bad, youre saying i fell asleep? " " best sleep of my life "
