RYNO IV was like RYNO 3 on steroids. They basically saw the design flaw with the max level RNYO 3 and gave us what we needed

5:25 Fun fact: the launcher itself is basicaly harmless, because all it does is shoot marking projectiles. The Harbinger itself is the DreadZone satelite weapon from which the lasers come down.

Ah the nostalgia of farming for RYNO and RYNO2... On my first playthroughs of the games they're in. Honest to god farmed for them like a little madman, with no bolt-clitches because I did not even know of those.

Rift Aparts really was a letdown sadly, First was goated but Ryno 2 was the best imo, and Ryno 3 I actually liked the most on V1, honorary mention to the harbinger from gladiator

7 is acually really great. It has the same theme as 5 but fixes 5's dogshit range, accuracy, and damage.

Only a true gamer would include going mobile

10:05 heresy

Back as a kid when Ryno 3 evolved to its final version the first time I thought it was lame since the screen flash didn't damage bosses and big targets that much. But then I realised the initial projectiles still deal damage if they land on the target, so I liked it again since now it was a riskier short range weapon against more dangerous targets.

While the Rynos of Into The Nexus and 2016 were copies, they are much better and should be higher than the one of ACIT. Their accuracy is better, they are stronger, and since the aiming system is better, you can actually kill airborn ennemies without struggling. Also, most of the bosses are big, while in ACIT, most bosses are far away and/or human sized, making it's Ryno barely usable.

I would personally put the Ryno of Tools of Destruction as the best one, it's just so strong.

For the Ryno 3, I wonder why they didn't use the same thing as the shotgun. At V5, they could've kept the normal shots, but add a special shot by holding the shoot button for a second. It could've cost a few more ammo (not 10 like the shotgun, but 2 or 3 or something). That would have given us the choice between strong against a boss and strong against a room of ennemies.

The Ryno 5 shines when used right in front of enemies, like in their face. To that end using it alongside the groovitron can yield good results.

A ratchet and clank video with Sly cooper music in the background, be still my beating childhood. :)

to me idk why but the ryno2 made ratchet feel like he was for the first and only time a hot shot with a blaster

the ratchet and clank series will always be so peak. been loving all the content

We got blessed with the ryno 2 that thing will never get beat.

Surprised you didnt mention that the ryno 8 was also another reskin visually of another weapon. It has the same design as the critter strike from all 4 one.

I’ve always preferred the idea of obtaining the RYNO through the holo-plans, because that way it encourages exploration of the planets even more, especially the larger ones. It also lets you get it before the final boss, whereas in the PS2 games you’re forced to at least do one new Game plus

when i was a kid, on my very first play through of Ratchet and Clank 2002. I got stuck on Rilgar for the room flooding section, no matter what i did i couldn't get it. So i started farming, i played the first 6 planets over and over, saving every bolt until i could clear those levels with nothing but the wrench. Initially i was excited when i got to 15k. then read that i needed another zero. So i just rinsed and repeat til i got it and funnily enough it helped. What i do remember about that first play-through i also missed the chickenator. That section continued to plague me for a long time, but i did eventually get past it regularly. The second successful run of Ratchet and Clank was an amazing feeling when i got past that section without needing that gun.

2:28 you forgot that if you have the rino from one on a save file from one on your memory card, its heavily discounted

1:48 i always just did laps on aridia ave kerwan for a part of an evening around the middle of a playthrough (around the time you get the box breaker) when i wanted to get the ryno since i noticed those two planets seemed to have a bunch of bolts you could get easily and quickly. Like 3-4 hours of grind gets you there really easily

RY3NO/ RYNOCIRATOR will always have a spcial place in my heart. Goated weapon with shifting effects each level. Also in the era where each INDIVIDUAL level had its own model!
