I have been there many times, and have spent wonderful hours with the original owner of Kromrivier Farm, Oom "Wit Andries" Nieuwoud and his son, Rensie, and daughter-in-law, Olive. Such lovely people of the land! Our favourite cabin was named "Willow", and it stood first on the left just after crossing the stream. Olive's home-made bread and boerewors were the best ever! Oom Andries told me that I was the first person ever to ride a Honda 750cc motorbike down the pass to the farmstead - but that was about 50 years ago! It was mid-winter, and the pass was covered with thick ice in most places, especially on the left-right turn, halfway down to the homestead, so clearly shown on your great video. Very scary on two wheels! In fact, it was so cold that we could not even light a fire, so I drained some petrol from my trusty Honda, and finally got a much-needed fire going! I suppose that much has had to be changed, but, at the age of 82, I shall once again visit this amazing farmstead toward the end of March, but this time in my trusty Land Rover Discovery 2!
