Are we...are we the bad guys? I'm stoked for Sleep Token and their success, but I hope this song serves as a wake up call for the fanbase. What are your thoughts? Here's my video about the identity leak, for those interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBDvdvTnyyY

The line where he says "Did I give you what you came for" during the breakdown is such a call out to the metal gatekeepers.

Let’s wrap our arms around Vessel and protect him from the toxic humans. I just hope they don’t ruin things for the rest of us.

Imagine a ST music box and Vessel is the ballerina inside. The background tones give that vibe, as in the fans wind up the music box and he performs. Those music boxes are a "prison" for the ballerina inside. Even the way the song ends as if the music box has stopped playing.

Maybe Im reading too much into the song but the gratuitous heavy ending followed by the lyrics “Did you get what you came for” feels like a response to people that whine that they’re not “real” metal or metal enough..

Im pretty bummed out by how the youtube reactor industrial complex - or at least some of the bigger channels put there who were trying to be first for the algorithm - has glossed over what you said here.

Im biased - i walked away from creating art because of the toxicity of the industry, because the stage is a prison - but im biased towards the artist here.

Thank you for hearing vessels words here. So so so many people can hear the music but not the truth in the art. These guys art is wildly authentic, vulnerable, and the world doesnt know how to even friggin handle it and it makes me sad.

Let them be, folks. Enjoy this moment. Art like this doesnt come around often.

As musicians - Sleep Token freely gives their pain and anguish in the form of music. As their fans, we say thank you and enjoy. THAT'S IT! Not their personal life, names, faces, anything. They're real people.

This is the war inside vessel, his anger and rage at the fans being disrespectful but his other half that knows him and the band are blessed and ultimately grateful. The whole thing is a the most heartbreaking blend of hopeful sounds and broken lyrics until the music turns heartbreaking but the lyrics are hopeful.

Yup. Whonever leaked them sucks. He pulled a ronnie and took the chance to give the critics and haters what theyve said they weren't. But also tell the fans to stick with him ( which we all will) and gave a new insight of his journey in which were the most important part. Ignore the haters. Worship

The fact that he said that we were a parallel that he would lay his life on in Euclid to in this song he’s saying he’s falling off the parallel makes me so sad and I really hope these lyrics reach people and change behaviors

Blast beats were just as unexpected as the saxophone. Awesome

Maybe the monster(s) they're fighting in the teases represents fame and what goes with it? "Even in Arcadia"...even in paradise there are monsters to fight. Goes along with that duality.

Thank you for actually listening to the lyrics and understanding what he said. Didn’t really listen to lyrics on the first listen because i was just hyped, but jesus on relistens it’s just hard to enjoy the upbeat knowing the meaning of the song. Great piece regardless

I have been describing the lyrics as soul crushing 😢

Been listening for an hour and haven’t stopped crying, this is beautiful.

Honestly 10/10 energy in this reaction, I’ve never subbed to someone so fast. 🖤

I just wanna give him a hug and shake his hand and thank him for his art

I think the "too old to retaliate" was a nod to the video of him spitting on the ground and flipping the bird to the dudes that shouted his real name at the end of a show.

Heart breaking lyrics...and absolute TOP TIER drumming...jesus christ II!

Just struck me, Sugar represented the boys first taste of fame, Caramel is the burnt toxic version of that same fame that becomes bitter when it goes too far. Would recommend listening to Sugar immediately if you haven't
