You are hearing Vessel layering "love/hurt" over each other. 🙂 13:16

"Oh the next Sleep Token reaction is up?" sees that it's Gethsemane "oh time to suffer, got it"

Going through a breakup, and the line “I was in love with the thought, that we were in love with each other” hits so hard

Such a masterpiece. I just read that this latest album “Even in Arcadia” hit #1 on Billboard’S Top 100 and EVERY ONE of its 10 tracks broke the top 100, the first time in history a hard rock band has accomplished this feat. So proud of ST! Keep going down this rabbit hole. Here to worship!🙏🏼😍

Sleep token doesn't fully grab you until they speak specifically to your soul. Then it's over

I think you are the first person i have seen to catch the LOVE lyric under HURT. Yes Vessel layered the word love under hurt in this section of the song. The absolute madlad.

It's pronounced "Geth-sem-uh-knee".  It's in reference to the biblical garden of Gethsemane where Christ prayed prior to his crucifixion.  Kind of puts the song into deeper perspective once you know the context of the title.

12:44 Yepp, that's the amazing part, they layered both "Do you wanna hurt me?" AND "Do you wanna love me?", you are right on that one. For me, I definitely hear "hurt me" all the time, but I can tell that the first one sounds like there is something else with it that the second one hasn't. Probably I can't hear the high freqencies as well.

8:10 If that’s not the perfect representation of how Sleep Token says “I’m going to break you emotionally, now here’s an absolute musical vibe before I do it again.” I don’t know what is.

12:37 It’s both. They’re layered. It says both all 4 times

The breakdown that you thought was mallet-based instrument is really just a guitar. Pretty common style found in math rock.

SOMEONE going hard on the drums?? SOMEONE?!?! That is my mans II and we gonna put some RESPECC on his name. 😂

Fr though, II is the best God damn drummer you will ever hear or see in your life. Mans is 3 octopi in a trench coat type of wild.

Another layer to this song is a musical call back to the closing song of TMBTE "Euclid" During the lyrics 'What might be good for your heart.....".

The line "And I've learned to live beside it" doesn't get talked about enough imo. Like, he has this trauma that he mentions, these memories that haunt him, and he can't get rid of them. He can't actually deal with the pain they're causing but he's learned to live beside it, not in spite or without it, it's just a part of him.
Also in comparison to the very start where he says "I've learned to live without it", almost like he lied about it in the beginning, he sings much softer and more "polite" and, as you said, maybe tried to cope with it. Then in the ending, where he sounds more angry and way more confrontational, he "corrects" himself to "live beside it"

You survived Gethsemane, good job!! Welcome to sadness town, where every song is an emotional rollercoaster! I’m really happy you picked up on all the little details cause most people don’t and this was really refreshing. I’m super excited for the next song you decide to do!

9:00 That instrument is a guitar. They're using hammered harmonics to create those pure tonal notes. It's a very mathy sound, sort of like like Plini or certain Polyphia tracks.

I was in a four year off and on relationship late high school/early college, with someone who actually wouldn’t show me affection unless she was drunk, so needless to say the waterworks started during the pre-chorus and didn’t stop until the bridge. I’m so far removed from that relationship, happily married, and well beyond moved on, but it’s crazy how Sleep Token’s art full triggered a wave of emotion i hadn’t felt in a long time.

Love your reaction. It comes across that you really resonate with this song and so do I. It's beautiful watching people you never met and never will be being touched, in their own way, by what you feel about so strongly yourself. Voulnerabilility really invites voulnerabilility. Love and appreciation for Sleep Token puring out their hearts into their music.

You need to react to Ascensionism for sure !!

YOU NAILED IT WITH “VULNERABILITY!!” That’s EXACTLY how I understood it and I had yet to see a react video mentioning the double entendre!!! Thank you for recognizing that!!!!
