Honestly, he says there were two parents, but all I see is a single father of two and one fun aunt with her favorite nephew.

5:52 Dara wholeheartedly complimenting Fern and John before dropping “BUT THEY’RE IDIOTS” with his whole chest will never not be funny to me 😂

it's touching how much of this episode involved Fern and John, and how funny he obviously finds them

So I’d thought Dara was one of the more earnestly competitive contestants but now I think he played it up a lot for the team dynamic. Because he has chosen basically all group moments - even the play task was about interplay between the contestants. What he thinks are the best tv, the best comedy, are almost entirely the team bits. And that’s really sweet, even if he does call his teammates idiots.

"Dafty in the middle" is one of the best lines in 20 series

There's a hat on the trophy because Dara mentioned in an interview that he uses his TM trophy as a hatstand

The helicopter bit kills me every time

Wait what? Dara on Ultimate Taskmaster. What, wait.

21:37  “This is an active situation for me” describes my brain in more ways than I’d care to admit.

Not sure there's been a more clutch Taskmaster moment than "enormous hugeness"

Dara doesn't need an ultimate episode. He got 30 points in one episode already.

obsessed with the fact that he just had that picture ready

The bird painting... "...this is still on my desk because it's an active situation for me" 😂

“This is an active situation for me” 🤣

I'm with Fern, Crashes More, was the perfect set up for, Than Planes.

I'm in tears watching Dara rewatch the "helicopter" moment. One of the funniest moments in TM history.

I love Dara being fiercely competitive doing the tasks then so chill, funny and likeable in the studio, a good balance. He was a great contestant. He is in my top 5 faves .

I have no doubt Dara is top candidate to win CoCoC. He's the perfect mix of extremely competent, competitive, and entertaining. We'll see what the next five series have in store, but it's a high bar.

I love all of these Ultimate Episodes for all the grudges unresolved, proud moments boasted, and joy shared... The greatest commentated rewatches ever. But this one was the first where I had to absolutely cry-laugh alongside the contestant themselves (practically both in the past/replay AND the present).
The helicopter question is one of the funniest TM moments ever already, but Dara having a laughing fit over witnessing it again while I also lose it again? Even more incredible

I never noticed until now that the NASA logo to the left of John actually says DARA.
