Today was a big day for us as we officially began the Fire & Irie Future Leaders Club at Belfield Primary School in rural Jamaica.
Our day actually took us to the school twice—first for a meeting to figure out how we can best continue working with students from last year’s remedial program, and then back again for the very first Future Leaders session.
In between, Sonia adds some new baby chicks to the family, we make a quick run into Highgate for a few last-minute club essentials, and after the kids head home, we discover a little diamond in the rough when the boys give crochet a try. 😂
It’s a busy, unpredictable, and pretty rewarding day—and just another day of figuring out what retirement looks like for us here in rural Jamaica.
