In this week’s video, I’m sharing a post-holiday update on my 150+ plant collection — the good, the bad, the slightly dramatic, and the plants that are officially heading off to Plant Club.

There are a few unfavourites in the mix, some root rot, a mystery Hoya, diva Alocasias, scale on a fern (because of course 🙃), and a few really lovely surprises too — including new growth, successful repots, a finally-rooting Aglaonema pictum tricolor and my very first orchid bloom.

More than anything, this video became a bit of a reminder that being a good plant parent doesn’t mean keeping every plant at all costs. Sometimes simplifying your collection, letting go of plants that no longer bring you joy, and focusing your energy on the ones you genuinely love can make the whole hobby feel better.
