"You already approved it, you can't take it back"

Yes I can, it's called changing my mind

Fun fact: in my first campaign, i accidently pissed off an ancient gold dragon, and as a result, offerred up 50 PLAT and about almost all my health to protect my friends and escape with a metal ingot, which was a quest item. Moral of story: money buys happiness for dragons

Personally, I think "Dave" was being petty with the OP over the busted homebrew magical item he wanted. Given how he behaved in-game (including the cheating), he seemed to take offense to OP's help with it. He also seemed to be trying to bully him out of the game afterward, especially when OP's kobold didn't act the way he expected.

He might have misinterpreted the talk about his character drawing the tonfa as the player being able to design it freely

I was going to say that the DM was the problem, but I double checked and he was a newer DM, so it's understandable that they didn't have a strong enough skill set to call out a problem player yet.

10:25 So this is something "Den of the Drake" calls "Solving out of game problems with in game solutions" its just something us socially awkward newer players naturally do that makes no sense to experience players.
It doesnt make sense its more of an instinct.

I used to roll physical dice even though the rest of our table was digital. No one had to worry. I barely rolled above single digits lmao

This video being seventeen minutes and seventeen seconds long is a nice touch

Tonfa would just be a reflavored club, wtf

When someone is so based on raw success do you flub it and play into it or do you confront them on the matter.

So dave was pulling the old "if you don't play the game I want to play then I'm taking my ball and going home" routine that 5 year olds use to try amd get their way.

Asterios, Child of the Stars 😭 "I wanted to save you!"

Nice timing. I've been montaging these horror stories while working on some 3d models for map making, so having a new one to listen to is perfect! :D

I was acting like this for a while it's kinda addictive, if you realize it's really important to force yourself not to warp your rolls

Incredibly rare pushover dungeon master W

@wanderinghammer 4 months ago

Lol, I would have laughed in that guy's face! "THIS is the item you want? At level THREE?! Are you out of your mind? The DM is never going to allow this! I wouldn't even have the gall to as for such an OP item." Incredulous laughter

Ive had 3 people like this in games I ran previously online. Though each one ended up ghosting after I hold firm at the equivalent of "Theres a guard post here because background says."
