How wonderful to find this and with the late Bernard Cribbens narrating. Ivor and the Clangers- just brilliant.

Just the sound of Oliver Postgate's voice; it's like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket.

These programmes are pure gold and made my childhood very special and these programmes will never be forgotten. Two geniuses and I personally want to thank them for giving us Bagpuss and Ivor the Engine and all their iconic programmes. Love you both. 🙏❤️

One of my favorite things as a child was the 5 minute slot before the news. As well as the wonderful shows these guys made there was also Paddington, The Wombles and of course The Magic Roundabout. Such a huge part of my childhood.

A much healthier creative work environment than a large studio if you ask me. Even with the low budgets. Their work was magical.

Update: Mother Clanger was returned in early 2026 after being stolen and hidden in a loft in Ireland for over 50 years. The culprit confessed before his death and his son returned the missing Clanger to Emily. (Bagpuss and the Mice no doubt repaired Mrs Clanger and placed her in the window of the shop for someone to come and collect!)
