Abelard, inform this peasant he has my permission to make more videos of this game.

"My patience is not limitless, unlike my authority"- Inquisitor Eisenhorn

Blessed is the mind too small for doubt.

"Where there's mutation, there is heresy, and we must purge it!!" 😂

Sharing a birthday with Warhammer 40k, it felt like a gut punch when you said “40 years of lore.” Please, Splatter. 38 years. We aren’t 40 yet. We are still in our 30’s. 😅😩

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded.

the degree of investigation and deception and backstabbing that the ordo hereticus have to sift through is crazy. it could all hinge on a conversation as easily as a gunfight. so, it's fertile ground for this style of rpg

"I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion." Thraviam Flast, Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus

I like that the equipment from the combatants was lootable instead of 'magically' disappearing or being broken...  serious pet-peeve of mine.

Otherwise, combat is looking solid and varied.  Story seems like there is branching, but we will see.  (given Owlcat's previous entries, this is quite likely).

Definitely worth keeping an eye on!

Thanks Splat!!!

Dude. Your description of the Ogryn was perfect.

splatty i cannot describe to you how much i love listening to you explain warhammer lore. would watch anything you put out in this universe just for your little rants about the details. thank you for taking the time to do it in the videos!

Imagine doing a full lets play of the game. You're basically narrating a whole series of audio books.

I know it's not really your thing, but if you did an entire playthrough of this game I would watch it. And I can tell you have a passion for the world!! It's infectious

Played this on PnP back when the book dropped like 18 years ago. Absolutely stoked.

Splat plays the exact opposite of me.   He plays timidly and highly defensively while I am of the opinion the best defense is a dead enemy.   As many as possible as fast as possible

Thank you Splatty for all your great Warhammer 40k and Shadowrun content. Absolutely love how much of the lore of the games you work into each commentary. Keep up the great work, my friend! 🤘

The Emperor is watching

owlcat is the goat of rpg i been following them since kingmaker

Its gonna be a refinement of Rouge Trader...which is great! Owlcat has a strong track record of iterating on past releases, and the base system is the same. I'm particularly happy to see a normal money drop system replacing Profit Factor. I think the Investigation system has great potential regarding immersion. Pathfinder style visuals on level progression is a huge deal, and I wouldn't mind if the rules system were a little less crunchy. We all know its going to release in a "good enough" state that benefits greatly from a year of live updates and maybe a DLC or two. In any case, its worth buying in early to help fund the studio.

The premise of this game is what I thought Dragon Age Inquisition was going to be
