Modern day fans don’t realize Heels can be elevated in loss, even in embarrassment, if they’re that kind of heel.

This is one of Randy Orton's best rivalries. It's true that Edge took Urdentaker to another level in 2007-2008, and he matured, but this rivalry was necessary for Randy. He grew as a wrestler, improved as a villain, his promos were good, and from there his career improved. It's true that he was immature, but that doesn't change the fact that this rivalry was what he needed to grow.

I still remember the receipt that Undertaker gave Randy in the Hell in the Cell.

But before that, Randy gave the Undertaker a nasty chair shot to the head, but he accidentally hit him with the lid of the steel chair(mind you that the lid part is way stiff and harder steel than the base middle) which busted his head open. Backstage, Randy absolutely apologizes to the Undertaker, and then the Undertaker says "Don't worry kid... Your receipts coming." 💀

Fast forward to Hell in the Cell, and the Undertaker gave Randy Orton an absolute vicious chair shot to the head as a receipt.

This feud was so over the top and crazy. I think it helps that A. It’s Taker so I think fans were more willing to suspend their disbelief, and B. Orton sells these moments like he is genuinely terrified.

Back then, even if a wrestler lost a rivalry, they still came out bigger than when it started. That's the importance of a well-told story; it's sad to see where we've ended up

I feel like CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam doesn't get talked about enough.

This is after Punk held the belt for 400+ days and before Brock broke the streak, it was a damn good match with damn good storytelling.

I came here after your Edge vs Undertaker video and I agree with what you said that the Undertaker works so well with the small guys.

And something that I realized in this video is how great the chemistry Undertaker has with Heels that are smaller than him.

Undertaker is good for that “Your head is getting too big, you need to get humbled” kind of rivalry, because it’s one of those rare moments in where you actually rooted for the Goliath more than the David.

My favorite work of Randy’s.
20 minutes vids of classic Ruthless Aggression feuds, well done on the video and the channel.

You've been going through very great feuds from the 2000s decade. Great videos. Been enjoying them.

With the undertaker’s streak before Brock lesnar ending the streak, it was a football team going undefeated for 21 straight superbowl’s

16:31 It's a point, but if you analyze the characters of Edge and Randy Orton from 2005, both Hell in a Cell matches were consistent with their personalities. Randy was a guy who deserved a beating, while Edge was just as obsessed with destroying The Undertaker. Add to that the coherence with Edge's storyline, since thanks to The Undertaker, he lost everything: the title, his family, Vicki—he lost it all. He was just as obsessed as The Undertaker, having gotten inside Edge's head just as The Undertaker had. That's why it felt like a match where both wanted to finish each other off. It felt like a pretty even fight because both had lost everything. Story-wise, it makes sense that Edge used his experience with chairs, tables, and ladders to be on par with The Undertaker. That's why I think that match is superior, because of how both reached that point of giving it their all in one last fight.

Had no idea about the Randy vs taker match in 02 and I was watching at that time. I know the main event feuds are the ones that draw the money by the midcard feuds like this are what keep me watching

The entire Randy vs Undertaker feud was peak Randy over the course of the feud just going more and more off the rails mentally with Undertaker mind games Stacy keibler getting RKO’d the possession of Josh Matthews, the burning of the casket driving Eddie’s lowrider through the stage. This feud had everything their HIAC is not talked about enough imo.
