Starting with Infinity Train is so cruel. It's my favorite show, I love it so much.

Steven has a rather...to put it cleanly, poor idea of what "happily ever after" is.

Back in the day, one of my favorite shows to watch on TV was ABC's Once Upon A Time. That series taught me many things; how being a hero involves stepping out of one's comfort zone, how you should NEVER let fear hold you back from the people you love, how villains aren't always as evil as we perceived them. But most of all, the show taught me that "happily ever after" doesn't mean everything's over and done with.

If anything, those three words just mean a brand new story/adventure begins right after your current one comes to a close. The problem with Future is...Steven completely destroyed everything that made him so likeable. He was hopeful, optimistic and strove to see the best in anybody; even his enemies.

Yet after he found out the truth about his parents' lives, he became HIDEOUSLY resentful!

With Rose, I can understand having...some reservations but one should be fair. Given the life she once had on Homeworld, she didn't understand the difference between right and wrong actions. Nor did she understand proper social behavior. Otherwise she would've never left Spinel behind, abandoned the other Diamonds, hurt Greg or Bismuth or did what she did towards Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. Greg was in the same boat; trapped in an emotionally stifling home environment, had rather oppressive/strict parents and was never allowed to fully express himself.

Yet Steven acts like THEIR lives were better than they thought and that HE felt "cheated" out of something similar
