Matt's son is a huge METAL fan ....he kept pushing Matt to go heavier ...he was like "OK, watch this." There's a clip of Matt's son head banging to Won't Stand Down.

You have to listen kill or be killed or won’t stand down from the previous album 😉

Imagine going to a Muse concert, innocent and unsuspecting, and them punching you in the face with that one right out of the gate. Because that's what happened to me. 😂

This video was filmed two days previously at their festival tour 'dress rehearsal' in Helsinki, Finland so they basically threw it together in a week.

Another fun fact (or at least an urban legend for now) is that all this is pretty much the result of Foo Fighters cancelling their European summer festival shows due to their various ongoing dramas. Muse were brought in as a substitute, and since some of those festivals (like Hellfest a few nights ago) are quite metal-oriented... it seems someone got inspired.

Check out their song “Kill or be Killed”. It’s even heavier.

Muse has always had a heavy song or two on their albums. Their last two albums have been heavy with breakdowns and screams.

Also AD Stank Face is a beautiful thing.

Will always be the best band in the world
Happy to have them in my generation

I literally had the exact same reaction as you to this song 😂😂😂 my face = stanked

The beauty of this band and others I love is that the more people try to pin a label on them genre-wise it only pushes these bands to experiment more and get more and more creative ✨🖤 I always saw Muse as progressive even in the 2000s, great reaction! My favorite newer song by them is Kill Or Be Killed from their 2022 album Will of the People!

Saw them live two days ago, was sick af

Kill or be Killed! Got me all teary 1st time I heard it I was missing Muse and then they came back with that! ‘Twas a good day. And yes you def need to check out last album ❤

I love Muse and they are amazing live.  I would recommend listening to the album Absolution first and then deep dive! x

Dude, I loved this reaction video. Please please please check out Won’t Stand Down and Kill or be Killed from the last album. I think you’ll enjoy it. 🙂

Matt hasn't publicly spoken about the meaning behind the song, but his wife didn't post anything on her socials for Fathers Day or his birthday (she usually does), so Im under the impression he has freshly split with her.

I really really dig the 8 string, I believe he’s tuned to Drop E and that looks like EBEADGBE of course they are always playing with alternate tunings but that lower string is tuned to E1 and by god that is a tasty tuning for that riff! Super cyberpunk/doom eternal feeling with the synths ✨🖤 awesome reaction! I can’t wait for you to check out the album when it comes out I know I’m pumped to see what Matt does with his 8 string chugger!

if you want heavy muse, erra did a cover of stockholm syndrome and made it even heavier, definitely worth checking out

There are some heavier songs on the previous album.  But nothing really since they're earlier stuff. There's no mention of an album from Matt himself, he did say they're working on new music though, that might just be released as singles

Muse finally discovered Metal lol

Good reaction, Muse has been evolving and experimenting, they have some really cool stuff in their last album.

I can't say I love Muse without saying I love The Warning, this is another power trio, from Mexico, all sisters (They opened for Muse back in 2023) and they sing in English mostly, check'em out they recently took over a few festivals they're exploding, if you can check Dust to dust/ Dull knives live at the Pepsi center CDMX, trust me check them out.
