😂"Bob's your uncle"  translates to "Bumps your Ankle" in the closed captioning.

Mando is looking amazing and happy. That chair looked like a health hazard. Well done.

At first, it looked like the scene of a case of spontaneous human combustion. Good work.

4:33 Thank you for paying the inspector 😊

It has to be a great feeling when your work passes the “cat scan.”

I am no expert but I did work for a mattress and furniture manufacturer for a couple of years. While there, I learned that the “gold standard” for attaching springs is something called an 8-point hand-tie method and, of course, there are videos on this platform that show how it’s done.

I love watching your videos. There’s something really soothing about them and I love your sanding montages. 💕🤣 The mix of humor, your soothing voices, your kitty friends, and the satisfying results of your beautiful work is just what I need to chill out from seeing all the craziness in the world.

you certainly already have some enate upholstery skills. Classes would help to refine them. This looks great. I am no expert, but more upholstery tacks would make for a more finished look. I so love watching your channel. You are fearless on all your projects. Good on you!

Im so distracted by how aesthetically pleasing your workshop is. ❤

For someone who doesn’t know how to upholster, you produced a good result. It definitely needed more tacks. I think you would find some courses in upholstery very interesting.  Your woodworking skills are of course excellent.  Good job.

I love watching you use techniques from AT Restoration. I'm like, "Aw, he's a fan of Ahti like me."

That color really brought out the design in the chair.I like it

Only a professional would dare to take on the pile that had once been a chair! I think upholstery is really amazing to watch also. Great job!❤😊

The chair revival was incredible. I’d never seen you do this type of work, and was impressed!😊

The before chair looked bound for the landfill. But man the after was absolutely a work of art. I would love to fill my home with all these antiques. My men folks prefer reclines and big sofas. ❤

Seeing beauty where others see only trash is a rare talent. Hats off to you!

Jay, you are doing this exactly how you are supposed to. I restore antiques and find myself doing upholstery more than usual. Do you know what I discovered? This really isn't rocket science. It is time-consuming, but if we follow how it was originally done using similar materials, it will turn out great. This could absolutely be a tutorial for upholstery. You do great work! All we need is patience, right? It is very satisfying when a challenge is met. I love it!
I thoroughly enjoy your channel. You're amazing!
Hi to Mondo!🎉

Great looking chair...now that you have made it beautiful. And that Mondo is one gorgeous cat!

You’re back! Yippee. Hope you and  your kitty had a happy holiday. Im going to shut up now and watch.

Watching your videos makes me wish I had the tools, space, and knowledge to try it myself! Beautiful work. Love seeing a cat or two, as well. Thanks!

I believe those needles are called 'bodkins' They come in straight and curved versions.
