Even in rehearsal, his voice was great.  Thanks❤

Elvis had more charm in his pinkie finger than any other entertainer - ever.  And yes, he was a Baritone.  Please react to "Long Black Limousine"

I'm glad the young ones can see why he was the king. And how it didn't matter what the song was . His movies were the same . Thanks for the memories.

Absolutley love your channel especially your elvis reaction ❤ God bless you for sharing our beautiful elvis with your viewers ❤️

Love Elvis…he’s so iconic. The king! 👑 ❤

Elvis evolved with age as far as his voice was concerned but it was like fine wine so much richer with time. The absolute best!!

Elvis was truly gifted and blessed with a beautiful voice and he was born into this world to share it with us.

There was a 14-year gap between the two versions and Elvis' voice was much deeper in 1970.   The first video is of Elvis rehearsing for a Las Vegas show in 1970 and, of course, the second video is young Elvis when he would tour around the south and sing live.  It's really hard to compare the two because they are truly distinct.  The 1956 version was recorded in a studio with the signature reverb of Elvis' early records.  Love, love, love that sound.  Elvis was very quick on his feet while performing live.  He played tricks with band members and back-up singers, he would sing songs out of order, he would help the band get up to speed with a particular song he wanted to do.  He really was a genius on the stage.  Absolutely no one does that today.  I can't remember if you've played it or not, but there's a longer video of that 1970 rehearsal session and, at one point, Elvis' mouth gets too close to the mic and it shocks him.  Really throws him back.  He takes a minute, but keeps on going.  Those were the days.  lol lol

Fame and Fortune next please!

When I was young I wore my 45 rpm record of this song playing it over and over. One of my very favorites.

Love Elvis

I love watching the rehearsals. He is playing with his band, relaxed, cool as hell. Even in the concerts he would sometimes change words.

this us one of favoutite Elvus so gs. You just cant beat that velvet smooth voice singing ballads. check out “ love letters”

The King, there’s only One

I love I Was The One,, Sadly it seems to missing from most of the "greatest hits" compilation albums and seems to be one of the lesser known Elvis "gems" probably because  It was overshadowed by it being the B side to Heartbreak Hotel. Thanks for your reacting to this outstanding  Elvis 1956 classic!

We loved him

"Denis,"  standing off camera, was the director of "That's the way it is".
At another point in the film, Elvis trying to sing one of his 50s songs, stated he couldn't hit those high notes anymore.
Elvis' voice went through three phases: it was high in the 50s (though he could still hit low notes) in the early/mid sixties it was at its peak creamy smoothness, maybe the best in the business. By the late sixties/early seventies it became deeper and richer though it lost some of its smoothness. Personally, his 3rd phase is my favorite.
Keep 'em coming!

More 50s Elvis. I WAS THE ONE is a RCA VICTOR reacord. Try a SUN L;ABLE track, like BABY, LET'S PLAY HOUSE.
Love your Elvis journey, you have only scratched the surface.
