With the wedding story, Am I the only one who thinks that OP asking for her sister to send the dress back isn’t an unreasonable ask? Like mental health crisis aside. She couldn’t go, Understandable. Regardless of the reason she couldn’t attend, I was confused why everyone was tearing OP to shreds for wanting her sister to send the dress back. I don’t buy the stain excuse or she would’ve mentioned it before 🤷‍♂️

i just realised Ross is posting every single day, that's crazy commitment. that's awesome though love it

Those hunters just need to stfu. If they are anywhere close to firing on random dogs, they should not be there. It is fully up to them to not pose a danger. My parents live in such an area where some permit hunting in the surrounding woods and fields but it is not like going deep in the forest. Basically they should expect people could be anywhere.

45:03 Bride: "I bought her and her daughter wedding gifts and paid for my sister's dress as a thank you for being one of my bridesmaids"

IF the sister didn't sell the dress then she could have sent it back, even if it was stained.
The fact that she can't send her sister the dress in the mail is very shady.
The bride could have taken it to a professional to clean it. The sister didn't even give her the chance to try to get the dress clean, sell it to recoup some money out of it.
But instead the older sister said the OP's niece spilled something on it and she "threw it away"
That sounds like an excuse to me! The sister didn't have the dress, I don't think she had any intention of going in the first place, to be honest.
If it were really a mental health issue, she would still have bridesmaids dress and gifts to send back. The fact she didn't, I think it speaks volumes.

For the 3rd story.
There's nothing complicated about it, the mom stole the money meant for her daughter.

28:28 idk as someone who has had mental health crises, I would definitely pay my sister back or send her the dress back. I don’t think it’s wrong at all to want it back tbh.

I held back from taking legal action against family when I was younger. I wish i hadn’t. They’ve never suffered accountability for any of the criminal, amoral, hypocritical crap they’ve done.  They probably never will. I wonder- if I’d held them accountable, could they have become better people? Protecting them certainly didn’t help them be anything but bad.

14:15 usually dogs run ahead. If the route changed, she whould have to redirect the dog. Which she shouldn't have to do. That land is her parent's land, not the hunters. If they don't like her walking near them, THEY should move.  Why should she change her normal walk because someone her parents let hunt for free can't just pick a different area to sit on his ass and wait for a deer? That's like a homeless person complaining and being rude that someone gave them a free burger with tomatoes on it and they don't like tomatoes. Don't expect them to go out of their way to get you a new burger without tomatoes. Pick off the tomatoes or don't eat it. Just like the hunter needs to either move his spot or leave. If he wants to be a karen, he can go PAY for a place to hunt. Don't complain about the charity you are receiving, unless you wanna lose it. She can walk her dog where ever she wants on what is basically her land. If you think she's in the wrong, you're probably single.

52:08 I read this story years ago and yeah it was so messed up. The dude was a goomer and abuser and tried to run away and dropped Amy so he could escape

With the hunting story i do have some input!! I grew up on a 200 acre farm with my brother and all of our family hunted expect us. When we were little everyday we would go out and play in the woods or fields wherever we wanted. Our parents would tell us to wear bright cloths and that was that. All the hunters knew we would wonder so they knew to watch for us. We did that for yearsssss growing up never had an issue. Hunter’s can see way better up in the tree and with scopes that yes accidents are possible but VERY rarely. So much that our parents saw no reason to not let us go off and play. The hunter’s never complained either bc it was all of our land to share. Personally i don’t think what she did is dangerous. She knows, she wears bright colors, her parents i’m sure told the hunters that her and her dog go for walks, and she knows to keep an ear out too i’m sure for gun shots closer. I think that hunter’s just needed to understand it’s her land and stay farther from the trail if that’s the case.

Stacy's Mom embezzled all the funds

I wish #1 had been more clear with the ages. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I legiterally thought this was teenagers.

If I were the parents I'd just revoke the invitation to hunt on my land.

The first story, Mom and Daughter, is similar in age to my kid and me. I wouldn't have sat through the Stacy's Mom performance, but maybe that's the INTP-A in me going unrepentantly "No." Update:  how fetishistically creepy it got at the end? Hell no!

thank you for the car crash analogy! so many people are ok with mental health until it's inconvenient for THEM that someone else has an episode. or assume that it isn't real just because it's not visible.
i think the OP in the wedding story was the AH for holding a grudge for that, but wanting the dress/the money spent on the dress back isn't unreasonable since it was a thank you gift for being a maid of honor or whatever.
money is an easy thing to fall out over, i try my best to avoid involving money in relationships. if unavoidable, i always pay back anything i owe as fast as possible

Regarding the second story, I can say that I was born in raised in the midwest in a similar-sounding rural area, and while I don't know specifically which state that OP was in, it's really common to see acres of land reserved for hunting, as well as plenty of large crop fields that have hunting outpost stationed in between. That being said, if you and youre animal are wearing high visibility gear, on family-owned private property, there should be absolutely no reason for someone to mistake either one of them for game. Especially given that it's not their property, so nobody should be shooting of a firearm if they don't know how to handle one. If I had to guess, I'd bet the hunters were more upset about them disturbing possible prey, given that they were on a trail.
This isn't me saying that I'd feel safe walking my companion on known hunting grounds during hunting season, but it also makes sense to me why that OP's parents just banned guests from hunting altogether-- it's not worth taking a gamble on safety.

The hunting story - I think we need to know more about what the parents knew because they did give permission and if they were aware of OP's daily walks...that could have been a disaster of their making. In the end, I'm very happy with the parents' ultimate decision of closing off access. Let them hunt elsewhere.

it's so sad people taking advantage of young adult or newly adults. One day they will understand that wasn't love. It needs to be taught that people above a reasonable age is not you being a mature 18 something, it is the other person being a predator. It sounds like a movie called Trust, really good movie. It's about a young teen chatting with someone online, and when they meet in person they are a grown adult. He r*** her, and she doesn't understand fully how it wasn't love. One day when shown other victims photos for police to try to find a connection it hits her, and she breaks down to her therapist that yeah he did r*** her. The last part is her finally excepting that fact, and ready to work to move on. It is a movie though that is tough to watch, but I think many should. Bringing it back to the story, I hope Amy gets help.

I've spent a good time of the first story thinking the mom is a dad, and I was like, this guy that wants to have a go with a girl and her dad surely has a unique point of view...

My grandmother left all of her grandchildren money when she passed. There were accounts for us all in Quebec. My dad put his wife's name on our accounts, so when they divorced, she cleaned out our accounts. My dad never did anything about it and never apologized for letting her steal our money. He also promised to help me pay my student loans I had to take out, but never did...
