Arkham Horror 2nd edition for me

I had no idea what was happening the first few times I played it but once it clicked I couldn't get enough of it

Hi Joe, Great list! Love Castles of Burgundy and Lost Ruins of Arnak. I haven't played any of the others, but several are on my list to try. My list of games that are worth learning would include in some order: Spirit Island, Terraforming Mars, Luthier, Lacrimosa, Ark Nova, Fate of the Fellowship, Concordia...

Great video, and Castle of Burgundy is easier to learn than you make it look, that may explain why it's a the beginning :P

Terraforming Mars with ALL the expansions now that is fun and worth learning!
We played Lord of the Ring the Fate of the Fellowship with our friends, and their daughter said "it's such a nice game, I wish it was not cooperative!"

So I looked into some options: Nemesis Retaliation. Now that is another complicated game worth learning. So close to Aliens, my favourite movie of the franchise, with traitors and cinematic experience in imagination. AND all the expansions again.

Andromeda's Edge was OK, but too much Star Trek derivative, and our "teacher" didn't count the points properly for my wife score. May try it again.

Thank you for your awesome work!

Fun fact about "Lost Ruins of Arnak" : The French version is titled "Lost Ruins of Narak", my guess as to why is that Arnak sounds like French slang for "scam".

The Great Wall – one of my favourites!

Best game i ever had was called " Dark tower ". Made in the early 80's. I got it for my 15th birthday and we played it for the next 20 years.Unfortunately the small motor in the tower burnt out. Never came across anybody else who played or even heard of it. Scotland yard was another one that was a blast!
