We need more old game reviews.

This video was a breath of fresh air! With everyone always focused on only whats new, there are so many great older games that don't get any love anymore, thanks for bringing them back to the limelight!

Some oldies never really get old 😊

Champions of Midgard with the Valhalla expansion is a really really great game. Love the look back on older games.

Personally, I like the 2nd edition of Camel Up a lot more than the first. The Crazy Camels are really fun, and the components and art are definitely an upgrade.

This is great: there are soooo many truly solid, fun games that are overlooked, forgotten just because of the sheer number of new games coming out constantly and only so few of those will ever become evergreens, while there are already more evergreens existing that it would keep you busy for years probably. Have not heard of some of these in the list, but most definitely second Jaipur and For Sale, those are real evergreen classics that are guaranteed successes. And Camel Up is one that I have never played but I know it is still very popular in gaming circles that I am aware of.

Champions of Midgard is my favorite game of all time, especially with the two expansions.

So glad you mentioned Black Sonata! That game is a stunning piece of work that I wouldn’t have thought possible in a solo experience. It took me a long time to find a copy but it was worth the effort.

Really cool list! Many of these are in our collection and when we started the hobby they ushered us in welcomingly! Thanks for doing just 10 (well 12) as opposed to two sets if 10. It gave a chance for you all to really talk about each game! Very cool!

Oh goodness, 10yr old games. I have 20yr old games I haven't got to, and 40- 50- and 60- yr old games I still play :D

True, Black Sonata is amazing! 💌

Princes of Florence is so unique. You forgot to mention that you have to puzzle the tiles into your player board. That can get tricky sometimes, because there are some rules for placing the tiles. Otherwise great description! And, as far as I remember, your goals have to increase in points everytime, right?

Now, even more games to look into. Thanks!

You inspired us to get Seijutsku off the shelf and it was indeed good!!

Black Sonata, Le Havre, and Princes of Florence are the games from this list that were already on my "want to play" list. Jaipur and Camel Up I've already played, but the others are new names to me!

Fantastic list. Rock on ❤🎉 I firmly believe the industry peaked five or six years ago.

I'm the go-to person for teaching games that come from before the post-KS cult of hotness.

I regularly try to get older games to the table, like Acquire, Princes of Florence, Power Grid, Dungeon Lords, Amun Re, Funny Friends. A year ago I finally achieved my goal of running a full three-table game of Fische Fluppen Frikadellen, and got to play it twice. Such a unique set of interplay for fifteen players!

Thank you both so much for this video! I really enjoy talking about some older games and I definitely enjoyed your trip down memory lane. My personal favourites are Princes of Florence (I own the Pro Ludo version), The Networks ( which I love for its humorous take on engine building) and Le Havre (which simply is such a fine example of cleverly interwoven mechanisms). Kind regards from Germany!
