Great video! I'm glad to see how well it's doing. If I had to think of another tip to help you appreciate your phone, it would be to watch reviews of the phone you have right now. Sometimes people just want some social proof that they made a smart choice or that they're not necessarily missing out on what everyone else is experiencing.

Apple is so good at advertising, you would want to downgrade if you watch an old phone release

I really needed this video. For the past few days I've been wanting to replace my 24+ for no reason apart from wanting something new. There's nothing wrong with that but in my current financial situation that would be highly irresponsible. Thank you for making this video, I just changed my ringtone after God know how many years.

Changing the screen protector and the wallpaper and the color tone of the phone goes a long way, I keep things fresh in my phone by doing this every  month, i customize almost 9:36  every month.

Great reminder about appreciation. After seven years I just finally upgraded from iPhone 7+ to iPhone 17 Pro Max.  The 7+ wouldn't open or upload many apps. I hope to keep the new for the next seven (at least!) years.

In the last two years I have bought a Pixel 9 Pro, a Pixel 10 Pro XL, a Pixel 11 Pro, a Samsung S25 Ultra, a Samsung S26 Ultra, an iPhone 13 Pro and an iPhone 17. I recently realized that I seem to have a problem with always wanting the latest and greatest. For the next 7 years I am just gonna stick with the S26 Ultra and the Pixel 11 Pro. No more wasting money. These 2 phones are arguably the best Android phones that you can buy in 2026 here in Canada so I'm going to get my monies worth and just enjoy them. Your videos make sense and you have saved me thousands of dollars that I would have spent over the next 7 years so thank you for that.

I realized on average I upgrade once every 6 to 7 years. And it’s mainly because the performance has dropped drastically, the essential apps I need are no longer supported and repairs aren’t worth fixing anymore to the point that upgrading is the more reasonable option. However, I still keep the old phone for other repurposed use cases — be it a backup device for just calls and texts, a portable storage device, a webcam or dash cam, an mp3 player.

Things might change for the better. Phones used to have a life expectancy of 2 to 3 years. And I’ve stretched it to 6 or 7. Now, new phones have a life expectancy of 7 years, meaning I can personally stretch that even longer.

This video is what happens when money goes down but you still have to convince yourself that you’re life is perfect and you have everything you want

Definitely resonates with me as I love watching tech videos and keeping up-to-date with new tech.

I often watch Phone reviews and laptop reviews for products that I will not purchase , but watching those reviews….I am tempted to purchase.

I just have to remind myself that I’m watching this for my entertainment and my hobby and to not let these reviews force me towards an impulsive purchase.

This video was much needed for me! I was honestly getting a little exhausted watching all the unboxing videos and seeing everyone getting the new iPhone 18, especially since I’m still using my iPhone 15. 😄

Thank you so much for making this video. It was really refreshing and reassuring to watch! ❤

The best advice I ever got was this: would you rather spend $1000 to upgrade your phone for a better camera or spend that money on a trip with your friends and take photos with the phone you already have?

Sometimes I make myself feel better about my phone by watching old first-look, review, and long-term review videos of it. 😂 Then I change the wallpaper, put on a different case, and basically hide all the little imperfections. A fresh tempered glass with a new oleophobic coating helps too—it feels so smooth and nice that the phone almost feels brand new again. 😂📱✨

any smartphone of any top brand released after 2018 can easily be used for at least 10 years.

Great video. I started deleting a lot of unused apps and after watching your video I'm going to use my phone without the case for awhile.

Great video! I have the same problem where I watch too many tech review videos and I suddenly feel that maybe my phone is old. What I have done recently though is that I have installed a custom launcher both in my main phone and my back up phone. It has totally changed the way I interact with the phone, and given them a brand new feel. And I agree with you that removing the case and just holding the phone in our hand makes us enjoy the premium feel of the phone and remind us how good they feel. I also agree with you that it is foolish to think of buying a new phone when we haven't yet discovered all the features of our current phone yet. Thank you for making this video; it is a refreshing change from the constant stream of tech review videos in my YT feed

I'm using S20 FE for 4 years now. 2027 will be the 5th years I'm using it. what I do is I change the wallpaper every week or two. I'm planning to replace the battery as well, cause after 4 years the battery degrade. and changing the battery is so much chaper compare to changing the phone itself.

Ever since Covid, I started rotating between 3 or 4 cases making sure to wash the last used one.

What a gem of a video! Hope more people see this and stuff like this.

What an amazing video! Congratulations on the idea and the different perspective of approaching the subject.

I am glad that it's not just me who craves to lose interest in my smartphone after a few months of usage.
