I took on a 107 km cycling event in Mungyeong, South Korea! 🚴♀️
The Medio Fondo course covered 107.52 km with around 1,400 m of elevation gain—including the 7.2 km Ihwaryeong climb.
I thought I could simply enjoy the beautiful Korean scenery… but my legs and motivation were already falling apart on the first climb. Saddle pain, endless hills, and a brutal headwind honestly made me want to go home. 😭
Still, I kept moving at a steady “tortoise pace,” climbed Ihwaryeong without stopping, and recharged with freshly fried Korean twisted doughnuts and Mungyeong apple juice!
Could I finish all 107 km?
