The way it was explained to me, "domo" is thanks,  "arigato" is thank you, and "domo arigato" is thank you very much. Relative formality.

The "Whole Bloody Affair" cut, originally from twenty years ago, but almost never shown in public until 2025, should now be available digitally at least on some platforms. Being a fan of these films ever since they first hit cinema, I'm now convinced that this approx. 4h 20min version is the definitive one that people new to this should see.

I don't know how many times I have watched this movie, or Pulp Fiction, but I think I have figured out why Tarantino likes to cut up some of his movies into out of sequence scenes. I hate to be a spoiler here, but I think it makes it easier for him to distract the audience from issues with the logical continuity of the scripts, at least as they are presented. For instance, when she goes to Pasadena while driving Buck's truck, we see that she has already killed O'Ren. Not only that, she spent who knows how long recovering physically from her four years of comatose existence, traveled to Okinawa, where she spent at least a month obtaining her sword,  then after confronting and killing the Crazy 88 and O'Ren in a public place in Tokyo, returns to the US, tracks down Mrs. Green, while still driving a very conspicuous truck that she stole after killing two men in her hospital room, including the previous truck owner, at least two months prior. Making three international trips while no doubt being considered a missing person of interest in the deaths of numerous persons seems unlikely. Let alone driving around in a truck that must be considered to be stolen by a person responsible for two murders and the kidnapping of a comatose woman. Seems unlikely. Don't get me wrong. I love this movie. But there are similar logic issues in "Pulp Fiction," it's just hard to follow with the cut up scene sequences.

from what i understood, domo is another way to say thanks, depending on the context, the politeness degree or the person you talk too (if he's older, your boss, your family etc) words can be different while having the same base meaning, and you add layer on top
