him rating Masked Mutant higher than the Haunted Mask is gonna have all of the goosebumps fanbase DEAD

i know i’m over a year late to the party but i can attest that It Came From Beneath the Sink genuinely horrified my little brother to the point where he couldn’t see a natural sponge without freaking out and uncontrollably crying

For the blob that ate everyone, the book had more destruction caused by the blob but the ending was revealed to be some blobs discussing the story thinking the ending was sad so they decide it to end with it earinv everyone. So its a story within a story, within another story

the book ending for go eat worms is much better but you can see why since instead of getting into fishing and attacked by fish he gets into butterfly collecting and it ends with him waking up in the middle of the night with a giant mothman at the foot of his bed with a hatpin in its hands. basicly implying he was stabbed and put on display by some giant monster

Fun fact Tim Jacobus illustrated some mtg cards in the house of Duskmourn set! They look dope and definitely give goosebumps vibes lol

Carly not being able to remove the mask was really scary as a kid. Way better than you said

‘Low budget early 2000s effects’… it was the 90s man!!! Best time to be a kid!

The Haunted Mask is a 10/10 you’re insane. That mask is terrifying and holds up! The floating haunted mask heads.. eh.. hey.. it was a kids tv show in the 90’s…

I have a vivid childhood memory of my older brother and my mom and I, all listening to “shocker on shock street “ on tape as an audio book. Good times

Who up bumping they goose?

1:00:00 actually those were common, we just grew up. I remember being a kid (00s) and visiting family and being told a certain room was off limits. Those were usually sewing rooms or an extra bedroom where they put the more dangerous stuff (breakables, things that could hurt a kid, etc), but as a kid my brain would come up with so many different reasons why I couldn’t go in there… My one great aunt particularly had an intriguing one bc even if we were playing near it her husband would tell us to move… turns out it was her sewing room where they kept their glass figurine collection when kids came over AND workout equipment that would have crushed us or chopped off a finger

Had A lot of fun piecing together why you selected the intro songs you did

Episode 1 solution: I'm ugly and I'm Proud

horrorland was easily my fav episode

i have to say i give you props for giving each episode title it's own music

41:02 Didn't expect a Piper at the Gates of Dawn jumpscare

I keep forgetting Hayden Christenson technically already started his acting career by Goosebumps. It is funny that people told me I was crazy for thinking Hayden was a great actor, only for there being a revisionist history praising the guy now saying he nailed playing Anakin in Revenge of the Sith, which is NOT what people claimed when the movie came out. He's one of those actors who can suddenly have a role and appearance in something and it takes me an embarrassing amount of time to realize it is him.

Thank you for giving The Ghost Next Door 10/10. It's was my first goosebumps episode I watched as a kid, and it's considered the best episodes for me.

So, I saw the "Stay Out of the Basement" episode when I was younger, as like one of the only Goosebumps episodes I'd seen, and for some reason that night I'd had a nightmare about a SpongeBob Bath Sponge I had at the time turning into a spider.

So imagine my surprise when the episode immediately following that was about a sponge monster coming to life.

14:21 “first episode outside of North America”
* shows a previous episode that happens outside of Earth apparently * 😅😂
(That was funny, great job doing all of this, I’m only in the first ones, I’ll be back as I watch more)
