Winter in the UK …… awwww bless your little cotton socks 😆

It's worse on the plains, the polar vortex hits hard.

There's a reason why in the extreme cold northern state of the US, we sell Arctic gear rated at -80F or -62C.

Duluth MN here. UK winters are cute.

I walked to the store about 10 blocks away when it was -40f and wind blowing 70mph.  Montana.

6:50 Miami in the summer will make you never complain about a heat wave again.

6:13 that's the average. It gets colder

When it’s that cold, you actually don’t take a deep breath when you’re outside. You don’t want air that cold to freeze any part of your lungs.

Let me tell you a story Adam. This was about 18 or 19 years ago. I'm a truck driver, And it was one week before Christmas. I picked up a load of cantaloupe in Yuma Arizona heading to Salt Lake City. When I left Yuma it was 90°F. Just a few hours and 300 miles later I was in Flagstaff Arizona and it was 20 below zero F. On the same day in the same State! NO JOKE! That's 110° difference!

I grew up in S. E. Wisconsin & I remember my dad climbing out of a bedroom window to dig out the backdoor so I didn't miss school lol when I hear 10 inches in Texas was called "snowpocalypse" and the entire state was closed for days I have to laugh...in Wisconsin we were allotted 3 "snow days" per year & we only got to use them if it was so cold that the school bus(yes, YELLOW school buses lol)engine refused to turn over due to the cold. So I feel a little like navigating the Scottish Highlands in the winter wouldn't be as hard as any day between oh, late October until after Easter. On that note I'll bid you farewell, may God bless you and keep you

The Lower 48 is about 572x the size of Northern Ireland. Adding in Alaska and Hawaii takes it to 696x Northern Ireland.

I used to live in Minnesota. I moved to Northern Norway. The literal arctic. And the winters are much milder.

I live in western NY just outside of Buffalo and I can confirm we get absolutely buried with lake effect snow some storms dropping up to 7 feet within 48 hrs.

I live in Texas. We do not typically get much snow, and when we do it doesn’t stick because the ground is too warm. Consequently, it melts during the day and the re-freezes overnight, creating the bigger problem of ice (called “black ice” many places, but it’s the main sort of ice we encounter, and thus very dangerous).

Barrow, Alaska is located inside the Arctic Circle and is dark (no day) 6 months of the year. But then it is light, no night, six months of the year as well (summer).

Chicago isn't even cold... for Canadians, this is warm weather. North Dakota, Alaska and Montana are some of the only states similar to Canada.... 🇨🇦

Alaska is at the very north, the north pole. It's almost 24 hours daylight in the summer. 4 hours daylight in winter.

9:57 roughly 1012 years ago we had a massive ice storm and blizzard on Halloween to the point where kids went trick-or-treating a week afterwards

Young brother I live in the northern part of lower Michigan. This past winter we had 144 inches of snow. Northeastern Montana can hit minus 30 F not including wind chill. We have incredible temperature shifts plus high winds, earthquakes, hurricane, tornadoes,  ice storms, and drought.  In a country this large you have to expect anything.

10:50 Yea, Buffalo NY is crazy. It's less the amount per year there than the amount per hour when it gets going. Every three years we get one where you go to bed with a clear driveway and wake up to over 6 feet. Takes a few days to dig out where everyone is just locked in where you were when it happened.
